A proven theory is a fact.
Look at his sweaty face during that interview!
Trying to give the guy the benefit of the doubt here b/c he did make contradictory statements
*************
Comey is an entrenched Washington DC bureaucrat. That’s what those people do; they parse words and dance around responsibility. The denizens of DC work hard to make THEIR cesspool look like a fresh spring.
He is just another apparatchik in a town full of self serving political apparatchiks who have their own set of priorities. Whenever they talk about integrity and “doing the right thing”, look out.
A day later, Im still trying to make sense of why James Comey would choose to do what he did yesterday. If you just dont want to recommend charges against Hillary, the logical move would be to say as little as possible, talk about how the case doesnt rise to the level of prosecution, and leave the stage.
By talking at length about all the evidence that clearly shows Hillary was guilty of at least gross negligence in her handling of classified information which is absolutely a criminal violation regardless of intent he might as well have been waving a banner that proclaimed The Fix Is In.
Plenty of people who know Comey and respect him both personally and professionally are bewildered at why he would go into so much detail about the evidence against her, only to then announce he would not recommend charges on the flimsy notion that he couldnt find another case like it that had been prosecuted. It was so flimsy, the more I think about it the more I wonder if everything is as it appears here.
Those are the robo-posters from "Correct the Record".
They are on the payroll of a Hillary PAC.
Tell us under who’s order was the directive to let Hillary off the prosecution list? That is our right to know.
I agree. All these “oh this is a win” or “Comey was actually making it possible for the next administration to prosecute Cankles” stories are wishful thinking. These is a simpler answer. Zero told him the result and he complied like a slave.
I’m hearing the same thing among my ‘middle of the road’ friends. He *never* posts political stuff. He sure did this morning.
Except he did.
What he did was fall on his sword rather then putting the DOJ on the spot.

I get what you’re saying but....if he truly decided to fall on his sword then why do a half assed job of it? Why not finish the job and let the chips fall where they may?
I don’t believe he was sacrificing himself to protect the agency’s reputation. He could have easily referred the case to Justice with a recommendation of indictment and that would have honorably passed the baton. But political considerations (and perhaps fear) drove him take the low road.
At this point the best thing Comey could do is to resign. If he really wants to make a statement, that would do it.
I had similar thoughts. Please see my #29.
May be! They’re pretty stupid, lol.
People keep trying to turn this cat sh*t into a biscuit.
You know, for all of Great Britain’s faults, their pols still resign when things go wrong. Here we kick them upstairs and give them a raise.
That is kind of my theory too.
Here we kick them upstairs and give them a raise.

Its the Washington Way. There’s great reluctance to punish or hold anyone responsible in DC because of what they or their friends might know about you. Its easier to give them another job somewhere and keep them quiet. That’s how the system works.
He rolled over. He deserves only scorn.
Seem to be a number of people here who want to defend that rat-bastard.
