Looks more like a semi-auto.

Would the second magazine be spring loaded once the first magazine is ejected?

Hollyweird has had continuous firing no-reloading pistols for decades. Their standard six-shooter was good for twenty or thirty shots.

"The front magazine sits higher than the rear one, the bolt face on the slide feeds rounds from the front magazine into the chamber. Once the magazine is empty, shooter ejects it and slide the rear magazine to the front position. "

Hit the right spot and a quarter inch wide bullet kills as dead as one that's .45 inch. A .25 Colt literally fits in the palm of your hand or in any pocket. This was my Dad's second favorite pistol, after his hammerless S&W .38. Both are antiques and if they weren't at the bottom of that fish pond I'd love to still have them.

Guns should be sexy.
This gun is not sexy.
Liberators are more sexy than this gun.

Only 30 rounds, but probably a lot more reliable and easier to reload.

Early self loading pistols were referred to as automatic pistols. The .45 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) round was designed for the M1911 Automatic Pistol.

A story from one of the gun rags years ago:
A lawman was enamored with a little .25 auto for some reason, so his loving wife sewed a small pouch for it into each pair of his duty pants. He dropped it in there and carried it until the fateful day.
A bad guy wrestling him for his duty weapon succeeded in getting it, so he went inside his waistband, pulled the .25, stuck it against the man’s chest, and fired! The muscular man looked down, touched the little red spot on his sternum and said, “What’s this?!”
This is NOT the reaction you’re going for, from a man you’ve just shot, but the the distraction allowed the heroic officer to take back his sidearm and win the confrontation.

You. Too, must be of the age to have watched Hopalong Cassidy, Roy Rodgers, and others, all of whom possessed the magic 6/100 Colt six shooters.
To: libstripper
Nope. Way way before my time. Retro TV has those old westerns. Randolph Scott is my favorite. He’s a hunk.

We don’t need no ugly guns. And THAT is an ugly gun.
