The University of Wisconsin-Stout (UW-Stout) has decided to pull two historical paintings depicting the early fur trade in Wisconsin's history. The reason? The "Diversity Leadership Team" claimed some of the withering flowers the college calls students just couldn't take the trauma of seeing a bygone era.
Since 1936, two large murals by Cal Peters portraying early Wisconsin history have dominated the common area of Harvey Hall at the University of Wisconsin-Stout (UW-Stout). One mural shows French fur traders and American Indians traveling down the Red Cedar River by canoe, while another portrays a wooden fort constructed by the French. Neither painting shows any violence at all.
But now, after 80 years, the murals are abruptly being given the heave-ho after concerns were raised that the paintings are offensive.
School chancellor Bob Meyer says some American Indian students have objected to what the paintings show.
“When they look at the art, to them it symbolizes an era of their history where land and possessions were taken away from them, and they feel bad when they look at them,” Meyer told Wisconsin Public Radio.

UW-Stout is performing a public service by self-identifying as a bunch of pussies. Make your education and hiring choices accordingly.
If I was half the man I was 10 years ago, I’d have a mind to go up there and traumatize them with a bat and smash every damn painting and statue, just so things are fair.

Some ‘self identified’ trans-racial people who call themselves ‘native American’ students wrote on a card that these paintings are offensive.
Because, I’ll be really honest, most American Indians have a life, have come across a whole lot more hardship than many give credit for, and can certainly not give a rip about a couple old paintings.
They are beautiful.
You have to be careful around the Snowflakes. They’re all so loony that ANYTHING could set them off. They need to replace these historical pictures with something that won’t scare the Snowflakes. Maybe pictures of Pokémon or two men kissing would be okay.
These people are getting to the point that they don’t even deserve the military to protect them. They’re haters of everything that’s made America the greatest nation in the history of the world.
I demand Goodfellas and The Godfather NEVER be shown again as it reminds me of the times before the government massacred them and it makes me VERY sad :)
