From the Smithsonian: "In the end, using 58 mortality estimates that met their criteria, they came up with an estimate. According to the current literature somewhere between 140,000 and 328,000 birds die each year from collisions with wind turbines. That's not all, explains the blog Natural Reactions. . . ."

Actually, utility-scale wind can generate power at a cost on par with other forms of generation WITHOUT the tax credit. This was proven for the 2 years when the credit was not in effect. Of course companies make MORE money with the credit and for that reason Congress re-instated it last year. That would be the REPUBLICAN Congress, you know.

It’s like the game kids play where they ask Dad if Mom says “no”. If both Houses were to say “no” and mean it, the industry would survive and find it’s own level of growth and profitability.

Don’t forget, ALL forms of energy are subsidized to one extent or another. Including nuclear, coal, and natural gas.

The parts for wind power are made using fossil fuels.
The wind towers are transported using fossil fuels.
The wind towers require trucks and helicopters to install and service-using fossil fuels.
The wire used to collect the power from the wind towers is made using fossil fuels.

You can't do a complete oppo-research without delving into all the crony funny-money book cooking fraud that's the integral part of this wind nonsense.

Germany is trying to move to wind and away from coal and nuclear. I don’t think they succeeded or will it succeed. It’s only supplemental at best.

Make America the clean energy superpower of the 21st century — and create good-paying jobs. We will set bold goals like installing half a billion solar panels by the end of Hillary’s first term and generating enough clean renewable energy to power every home in America within a decade.
