The Obama economy is a river of crap that just keeps flowing
Let me lay out some things you need if you want to see jobs created:
It has to be in the employers best interests to hire more people. The cost of the labor has to line up with the benefit employers will receive from it. There has to be consumer demand to justify the increased investment in productivity. The economy has to be growing robustly enough to provide the capital to pay for the labor. There should not be regulatory disincentives to hiring more people. There should not be government-sponsored disincentives for people to work.
. . . and if you look at the breakdowns, most are in restaurants and bars. . .
Went to the bookstore in our local shopping center. Most all of the restaurants had signs in their windows indicating they had job openings. All the employees that were visible through the shop windows appeared to be either Hispanic or from India. Most of the shoppers in the generally upscale stores that were carrying purchases were Black.
Many of the stores had already closed even though it was only 5 p.m. Not all that many people walking around or shopping. Suspect much of the foot traffic was from an adjoining condo complex. Macy’s, one of the major anchor stores was very, very empty. Dillard’s, the other anchor store had very few shoppers. Not sure how much longer some of the brick and mortar can make it.
That’s like the woman that was beaten by her husband. Hey-At Least She’s GOT a husband!
Barely keeping pace with layoff’s, those that quit, those that retire, etc. All businesses are doing is just replacing them.
Since 150K+ ‘refugees” are being brought in, it’s a wash as far as helping actual unemployment goes.
And this they parade around to the idiots who believe in his change and still do
