That is a good question why no one is discussing that except on the Internet. I watched the debate on C-span and I kept watching after it was over just to see if Hillary lost control of anything once it was all over, similar to how she did after the DNC acceptance speech. I saw that guy in the background at her lectern, and I noticed he didn’t go to Trump’s. Turns out he is a Clinton operative, formerly with NBC news, who was gathering her electronic ‘aids’ to give to both Lester and Bill was given something as well.
My question is did all the other networks who covered the debate keep the cameras rolling after it was over so that their viewers could see the same thing I saw on the commentary-free C-span? I had no idea what was going on, and Trump left the stage immediately. Bill came up on stage to high-five Hillary and get her out the backdoor before something else might happen. She cheated big time, far beyond anyone’s wildest imagination she cheated. Cheat isn’t strong enough word for what she does to deceive.

Should The Cleaner be discussed in depth NOW or just let it go and have a Trump staffer be first on the scene next time?
We will never learn what The Cleaner took away, nobody will ever admit there ever WAS a Cleaner on the stage, and the media will howl with laughter that any fool would suggest otherwise.
Instead, just shaddap about it. Next debate, make double sure that someone from the Trump campaign gets on stage the second the cameras swing to something else and grab the goodies. They can dismiss “conspiracy theories” but physical evidence is harder to ignore.
He needs to demand inspection of any podiums for Hillary after the cleaner incident.
I didn’t watch the entire debate. However, as I saw Hillary’s fingers on her face I was pretty sure what was happening. The only hands to her face gesture she uses I s to cover her mouth while she’s coughing.
There is absolute video evidence. I cannot think of any defensible reason for the cleaner to hand off to Mr. Independent Moderator. There is some explaining to do. It will not happen again next time.

Why is there zero discussion of Lester wearing an earpiece receiving stats and data from someone to use against Trumps responses? there is no way Lester the lip had so much detailed stats in his memory when signaled to refute the candidate, a behavior not part of the ‘moderator’ job. This was an ambush, not a debate. Lester lippy was Candy Crowley on steroids, complete with a staff feeding data to the doltish Lester.
Not sure if this is the video but one shows a strange light that is rigged up on her lecture that goes on and off. Also, shows her scrolling down something with her right ring finger as if she has a tablet or something she is using to cheat. Not only did the clean up guy grab some papers but another man unplugs something and they both go back a couple of times to get more things from her podium.
Totally crooked.
Mr. Trump needs to tell her that he wants to switch podiums at the next debate and see what she says.
I am starting to wonder if the FEC was an accomplice to the whole fiasco. The earpiece vid is so blatant and as you say, zero commentary about it.

I watched the whole thing - video and audio. It went on for about 5 minutes. It seems like it's been scrubbed.

I watched the vid, and screengrabbed cleaner guy grabbing the notes.
But there was someone else involved in this; there was a guy that grabbed the stuff that was on the shelf —below— the podium top.
It looked like electronic equipment box.
Watch the PBS version of the debate. The cleaner did not give lester the pad. He showed it to him and when the cleaner walked away from lester, he was still holding the pad. Lester never had it in his possession.
Trump had his own cleaner. A young man.
HE may not have given him the pad, but there was some sort of collusion going on there. It just doesn’t feel right

Seriously? Some believe secret hand signs helped to form the debate? Unlikely if what we have been led to believe is true. There is NO WAY cackles could have remembered the different hand signs she delivered to Holt. She is NOT sharp enough in her medical condition to remember them or when to use them
Or, all that is wrong, wrong, wrong and she really is the sharpest tack in the room.
Face it, she can’t even find her way back from the ladies room. hidden mics, and other electronic equipment would be more the style here. Thus, the ‘cleaners’ found via video after the debate. A great deal of practice was necessary for whatever games were played. She was out of touch for an enormous amount of time when we were seeing DJT day after day on the campaign trail.
