Conservatives have long believed that they were the only ones who could save America and return her to her former glory. But it turns out, mainstream American conservatism was built on sand. From the beginning, it rallied the faithful around simple negation: “standing athwart history yelling ‘Stop!’” What started as a clever slogan became a guiding principle. But that’s weak tea for a country birthed in a revolution based on the natural right of man to govern himself.
Perhaps conservatives took for granted the principles underlying the American Founding and the basic decency and morality of the American people. They relied upon a cultural and political infrastructure that they believed was a given never realizing that it needed to be renewed in every generation. Nor did they realize that it was under a purposeful and sustained attack from the Left. Younger conservatives may believe that Barack Obama was the first president to talk about “fundamentally transforming” America but in fact he follows a path first marked out by Woodrow Wilson a century ago.

The biggest problem people who identify as conservative have is that the people we voted for who said they were conservative are not.
They don’t even want to conserve the most basic element of our Republic, the rule of law.
Most of the GOP would rather abandon the rule of law if it keeps the Cheap Labor Express running.
Flooding the country with fraudulently documented foreigners has been a bipartisan policy for 30 years.
Until this year the RNC had succeeded in blocking the citizens from even nominating anyone for President who would stand with the citizens and the rule of law.

That is the truth I deeply regret supporting every tax cut and business oriented acts. After we did that they did not need us any more and we accomplished nothing else. Now they are “working with the Democrats to get things done” It is especially sickening that these “conservatives” do not put money into media as rich libs do.
Conservatism does not work for Conservatives it only works for the corporate Chamber of Commerce classes.
Globalist RINOs killed conservatism’s political power.
Sellouts.
Traitors.
Liars.
Betrayal.
And they’re still at it.
Wrong. It is not that conservatism failed. I was that people failed to implement conservatism.
the biggest failure that "we"... patriots or conservatives or republicans or libertarians or religious...have is that we do not know how to adapt and modify our beliefs to ensure the best outcome...
thus, we had people who couldn't vote for Romney for any number of reasons, some of them good, but in the long run not voting him in guaranteed a another run for the maggot in the white hut...
no way we can turn back the clock on the massive damage he has done...
this is life...its not simple and its not straight forward...
Ceding the entertainment and education industry to the enemy while giving them power over the children certainly didn’t help either.
