The DEFCON 2 "rumor" got started as a result of USSR moving nukes into Alexandria Harbor. They remained on board tankers. Never off loaded. Had they been off-loaded? SHTF X 10!
Few people know that Cuba sent 4000 soldiers to fight Israel. Several engagements. Casualties. Also N. Korea sent pilots who flew Syrian Aircraft. This entire war could have blown up, literally, the world. Yet it receives short-shrift in history.
