Clinton adviser: ‘They wanted to get away with it’ on private email setup

As the story about Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email account broke last year, the head of a pro-Clinton think tank complained that a penchant for secrecy within Clinton’s inner circle only exacerbated the controversy, which would go on to dog her entire presidential campaign, according to a hacked email released Tuesday by WikiLeaks.

In the exchange, Center for American Progress president Neera Tanden complained to incoming Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta that Clinton lawyer and former State Department Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills had allowed the email situation to fester to the point where it became a liability to Clinton’s presidential bid.

“This is a cheryl special. Know you love her, but this stuff is like her Achilles heal. [sic] Or kryptonite. she just can't say no to this shit. Why didn't they get this stuff out like 18 months ago? So crazy,” Tanden wrote.

“Unbelievable,” Podesta replies.

“I guess I know the answer. They wanted to get away with it,” Tanden said, urging that Clinton turn over the emails to the National Archives

". . . they wanted to get away with it."

Of course they did, and, by all of these documented recordings and more, future generations who have lost their liberty, by looking back, will be able to see exactly when, and where, their liberties were sacrificed on the altar of a counterfeit ideology called "progressivism" whose dishonest and arrogant "leader," herself a lawyer, flouted the Constitution's strict limitations on her power in order to set back civilization's clock to a time before 1776 and 1787, when the light of liberty first beamed from these shores to the world.

Thank you, Hillary, for allowing yourself to be the instrument for such clarity for future generations in being able to understand how they were betrayed.

"Political power, if surrendered, will surely be used to close the door of advancement and to fix new disabilities and burdens until all of liberety shall be lost." - Abraham Lincoln

A Dem’s first thought is always “Try to get away with something known to be illegal.” The second thought is “How do we cover this thing up?” Third is “Who in the media will give us the best spin?”
