You’re right. Way more than 5. This must be just the obvious top 5. LOL.
First, show me the specifics on exactly how a 20% tariff would balance the budget. Second, a 20% tariff on all imports would raise the prices dramatically for the consumer immediately. Third, what would be the impact on our exports to other countries that would probably reciprocate.
I hope the Trump administration and the right doesn't fall into the "It's Obama's fault" line of thinking. Sure it is, but Trump campaigned hard to take zero's place. I have every confidence that, no matter who started it, Trump is perfectly capable of finishing it, without whining about who is at fault.
My analogy... Obama: A turd in a punch bowl...
Trump and conservatives are grown ups. They don’t bitch about whose fault it is, they just take care of the problem.
Simple math: current imports are $2Trillion. 20% is $400Billion. Countries can’t retaliate because they already charge our exports to them. Prices would go up for durable goods and imported services. That is good thing. The increased margin is the whole point to promote domestic industry. When more domestic sources come online prices will stabilize. Competition works inside the USA also.
I would add. People are working, will be off government payroll. Government costs will shrink, pay for tax cuts. America will be great again.

Correct. The dice would occasionally get something right. 0bama was consistently bad because 0bama was deliberately bad.
That’s because Obama’s agenda was globalism rather than helping America. So often times, hurting America was part of that agenda. His supporters have a hard time accepting this or believing it, but it’s true.
I wonder if there might be a commercial opportunity for a great big ol’ list of all the ways Obama has been naughty.
We could make a list of all his lies, deceit, misdeeds, malfeasance and law breaking.
I’ll bet it would run into the thousands!
Every time we update it it would be a chance to post the updates here and maybe we could even make a book out of it.
The commercial opportunities could be endless!
