5 Messes Obama Will Leave For Trump
Resistance Feed ^ | 12-14-2016 | Rhett October

Posted on 12/14/2016 8:57:13 AM PST by rhett october

To hear the mainstream media of the United States tell it, President Obama has been the greatest president to ever president. Ever. But if we are being unbiased, he's very simply not. He hasn't even been a good one.

Of course, any objection to Obama being one of the great presidents ever will result in accusations of racism. That surprises no one and has become cliche. But the truth deserves to be told and there are people who are independent of mind enough to recognize it and move forward with a more accurate and informed understanding of reality. So I'm going to list some, but certainly not all, of the bad things that Obama has left incoming President-elect Trump.

It's difficult to place them in order so I'm not really going to try.

National Debt - It has never been this high. Never. We've never owed this much total or as a percentage of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Under Obama we lost our AAA rating and then it was lowered another time. And again, to hear the liberal, mainstream, in-the-can-for-Obama media tell it, it's no big deal. Nothing to see here. Go about your lives citizens.

As a candidate, Obama lambasted Bush on the amount of the national debt, which was much lower then, and even referred to himself as a "fiscal conservative." Then he got into office and started a spending frenzy.

Now, this is where things get confusing for most people. I remember Chris Matthews saying that the days of calling Obama a big spender were gone and backed that up by saying that "the rate of spending increase" under Obama was less than most other Presidents. Now Chris Matthews is smart enough to get this, so it sure seems like he was holding the bucket for Obama, but maybe he was honestly fooled. You see, the "rate of spending increase" under Obama was less than most other Presidents, but that was because President George W. Bush spent more than any other President in history...until President Barack Obama. So Obama still spent more than any president in history (even when you combine their spending all together), but the left tried to use a meaningless stat to fool the simple minded. The percentage, in Obama's first term, by which he spent more than the previous president was less than the average president - but look who he followed! He followed the president who had the previous record. It would be like a sprinter breaking the world record by a tenth of a second. We wouldn't say, "Well, gee, that guy is not that fast because he only broke the world record by a tenth of a second."

Obama has spent more than any president in history and is on pace to spend a breathtaking $2.4 trillion this year alone! As a candidate he promised to halve the national debt in his first term, but he doubled it instead. There were a couple of years where the budget itself was balanced - but all that means is that if the government followed the budget for that year, we wouldn't add to the debt. But the budget was not followed. Checks were written, like the one Obama wrote to Iran yet won't even tell us what it was for, that exceeded the record amount of income going into the federal government and here we are, breaking the budget, adding to the debt, and all under Obama's watch. He has presided over the largest amount of debt our nation has ever amassed. If that doesn't bother you, you don't have children, don't understand math, or have been brainwashed by the media who slammed President George W. Bush over less than half the amount of debt that Obama has racked up.

Economy and Lack of Jobs - In November, Bernie Sanders told a crowd that the Obama administration might be touting an unemployment rate of 5% or less, but that they could only claim that number when part-time jobs were counted the same as full-time jobs. According to Sanders, the real unemployment rate is over 9%. See the video below.

Counting part-time jobs as jobs in determining the so-called “unemployment rate” is just part of how the Obama administration changed the measuring stick to make the job market look a lot better than it actually is. The Obama administration also decided that people who gave up looking for work or hadn’t found work in a certain amount of time (mere months) would not be factored in to how the rate is determined. In this way, unlike any other president, Obama's "unemployment" formulation not only hides the long-term unemployed, but gets to count part-time jobs the same as full-time jobs. He gets to remove the negatives and count never-before used stats as positives in order to make the unemployment rate look significantly better than it actually is. If we are being unbiased, isn’t that just silly? Isn't it insulting that he would think we would fall for that so easily?

It’s like me telling you that I've lost weight because I decided not to count the pounds I gained over the holidays. Did I really lose weight at all? No!

But Obama’s fake unemployment rate can’t hide the record 94,708,000 people who aren’t even in the work force. That’s where you’ll find those unemployed people Obama doesn’t want to count anymore. They are there for anyone willing to take an unbiased look at the true state of unemployment.

Islamic Terrorism (ISIS) - In a 60 Minutes interview over two years ago, Obama was pressed on his administration’s inaction in preventing the rise of ISIS. Obama shifted blame to the intelligence personnel around him, saying, “I think our head of the intelligence community, Jim Clapper, has acknowledged that I think they underestimated what has been taking place in Syria.”

Members of the Defense establishment were apparently stunned and angered by Obama’s blame shift.

“Either the president doesn’t read the intelligence he’s getting or he’s bullshitting,” a former senior Pentagon official “who worked closely on the threat posed by Sunni jihadists in Syria and Iraq” told the Daily Beast.

Through funding, and providing weapons to Islamic terrorists whom the administration deemed enemies of Al Queda, the Obama administration helped propel ISIS to the level of international terrorist network. We see news stories of their terrorism often and Obama won't even name the enemy as "Islamic terrorism." Even if he won't say what it is, ISIS was born and grew under Obama's watch and the problem will be handed off to President-elect Trump, who has named the enemy.

This doesn't even factor in the thousands of Islamic "refugees," who have been shipped here but whom we know little about. Some of them have turned out to be terrorists and have attacked people. So that means the odds are that some of them who are here are ticking time bombs of terrorism.

Divided Nation - From vandalism, targeting and murdering of policemen, riots, and anti-white statements that, if reverse, would probably be prosecuted as a so-called "hate crime," we are a nation divided. And I haven't even begun to discuss the protesting-that-turned-into-rioting because the losing side in the 2016 election was unhappy with the election of Donald Trump.

Under Obama the citizens of the United States have been sliced and diced into a massive division of demographics. You are rich, poor, African American, white, obese, old, young, college educated, not college educated, working class, homosexual, straight, religious, non-religious, male, female, married, single, blue collar, white collar, inner city, suburban, urban, Hispanic, English-speaking, non-English speaking, Jewish, Asian, and I know there are some that I'm missing. Some of these demographic groups were villainized, like white people and rich people, and some were made into the constant victim, owed something by another group. Groups were targeted to score points with politically by attacking another group. I've never seen it so extreme. This president, who the media touted as a uniter, has been anything but. He has divided us all up in order to pit us against each other when it benefited him, his agendas, or his political party.

Obamacare - Broken promises are the landmarks on the tour of the so-called "Affordable Care Act."

Obama Promise: “If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period.”

Nope.

Obama Promise: “[T]hat means that no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period.”

Nope.

Obama Promise: “In an Obama administration, we’ll lower premiums by up to $2,500 for a typical family per year.”

Is there a canned laughter sound effect I can insert here? No? We'll work on that.

Obama Promise: “Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase.”

Not true. There were more than 18 separate tax hikes, fees, and penalties, many of which have heavily impacted middle class earners.

Obama Promise: “I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits—either now or in the future.”

Not even close. Obamacare’s new spending is unsustainable.

Obama Promise: “I will protect Medicare.”

Nope. Obama robbed Medicare to fund Obamacare because it is not fiscally viable on its own (another broken promise). And there's a lot more but I feel like it would just be piling on.

So incoming President-elect Trump has his hands full with President Obama's messes. The media has tried to paint over the ugly spots and called down, up and squares round but people are seeing through it. After all, that's how Donald Trump was elected. Perhaps if enough people see behind the curtain and past the lies then we'll put an end to the threat of liberalism and globalism completely. It starts by showing the damage done by those who ascribe to its ideals.

I am so tired of the media acting like Obama was a great president and that he saved the day. We have to keep telling the truth so that history will record him as he really was/is.

I will predict that the debt will be much higher at the end of the first Trump term than at the beginning, the country will remain as divided at the end of the first Trump term as it was at the beginning, and whatever replacement in enacted for Obamacare will be just as expensive and just as ineffective. Islamic terrorism will be greatly weakened by the end of the first Trump administration and employment and the quality of jobs should be better.

Gee, no kidding. Debt is now over 100% of GDP as Obama departs. It was a little over 60% when Bush II left.

Good assessment. It took a long time after Ronny left for his policies to take effect, so much so that Clinton took credit for them. But with the small business seeing light at the end of the Obama tunnel, employment should make a positive uptick. The Donald promising to reduce regulation should cause opportunities to flourish, causing rapid growth within a year or two. Re-assessing global business/government agreements should also have near-immediate positive impact. The immigration/wall issue should cause a hit in the farming/home construction/cleaning industries but will open ops for US citizens.

All net positive, short/medium/long term.

Worst President ever...including Carter. Decision making using a random roll of dice would likely produce better results than this clown.

The media will try to lasso Every Single Problem created and/or exacerbated by Hussein around DJT’s neck before we see Easter. Maybe even Valentine’s Day.

Oh, and they’ll find a few million homeless people, too.

That is a given. Both Bush 43 and Obama doubled the national debt during their 8 years in office. Every President since WWII has seen the national debt increase every year, including Clinton and the myth that he generated budget surpluses.

The fact is that the two biggest drivers of our national debt, SS and Medicare will continue to add more debt every year as our population ages. Add to that Medicaid and Obamacare and you have the formula for more and more debt. The entitlement programs must be reformed or we will be bankrupted by them.
