Sign the White House petition to name new U.S. Navy ship "The Deplorables"!

One of the newest petitions on the White House website is one that calls for naming the next major Navy ship the “USS The Deplorables” in honor of the voters who crushed Hillary Clinton’s hopes in the recent election.

An online petition (pictured) is asking that a navy ship be named 'USS The Deplorables'

The petition says that it’s ‘To honor those citizens who rose up to defend America and The Constitution from the globalists.’

It was created by a user known as ‘D.S.’ on December 4.

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton infamously made a comment concerning the supporters of then-Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, calling some of them ‘deplorables’.

Clinton said in September at a New York City fundraiser: ‘To just be grossly generalist, you can put half of Trump supporters into what I call “the basket of deplorables.”

‘Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, you name it. And unfortunately, there are people like that, and he has lifted them up.’

Clinton said one day later: ‘Last night I was “grossly generalistic,” and that’s never a good idea. I regret saying “half” — that was wrong.’

I normally do not like seeing U.S. Navy ships named after things that have nothing to do with the U.S. Military, but considering everything that was at stake in this last Presidential election I feel this one is quite appropriate.

I believe that the election of Donald Trump as U.S. President is the unforeseen X-Factor and caveat to the enemies of America who already were planning their next round of "changes" to our country including the renaming of more places and things to their liking and the elimination or marginalization of more and more of what makes up America to force a fit into their agenda.

So naming that ship the USS Deplorables would be quite appropriate as this electoral battle may just stand next to some of the great and defining battles in history that allowed the foundation and preservation of our nation.

It is time to return to naming American naval vessels only after sailors and marines who gave their lives in service to the nation.

Why not go back further and name them after battles, states, and cities?

Depending on the class of ship, yes.

Like the “boaty mcboatface”, I don’t think they’ll actually use the popularly selected name.

Aircraft carriers - famous ships and battles
Battleships - states
Battle Cruisers - territories
Cruisers - cities
Destroyers - military heroes
Submarines - fish
Support vessels - appropriate to function (i.e., ammunition ships named after volcanoes)
