Obama wants his legacy, and his legacy would be Obamacare, if Hillary had won the election.

I can’t wait to hear his farewell address on January 10th. I’m sure he will tout Obamacare, repeal of don’t ask/don’t tell in the military, and maybe even the court rulings on homosexual marriage as key achievements.

And he will urge us all to be liberal and keep the faith, as we enter a new dark age; per liberals, Trump is Hitler, it’s back to the middle ages, yadda, yadda, yadda.

I’m afraid all his thoughts are geared to “Whitey is bad”...And Michelle is even more hateful.

The easiest way for Trump to convince both the House and Senate to ditch obamacare is to administer it as it originally was intended to members of the House and Senate and their staffs: All of them are subject to obamacare. Remember them squealing like pigs sayihg that the high cost was making tough for them to get and retain staff? And the obama administration waived that requirement.

Trump should serve notice that on January 20, all of Congress will be subject to obamacare.....unless they fully repeal it.

I was let in on some information here in Utah that he is not only talking about obamacare, but Barky is trying to encourage the people not to ok the 304 EV votes that Trump won in the election...

I don't know anymore than that, I haven't found any ‘news’ about it, and I have looked...but I have to wonder because we know Barky will do anything to preventing President Trump to be inaugurated...just saying...keep your ears open...

This Russia thing could have been the ‘shiny object’ to get our attention away from what Barky is trying to do...

Conservatives are falling for the replacement trap. The Dems are saying we can’t repeal Obamacare unless Republicans offer a replacement. That “replacement” will simply be Obamacare that Dems will call Trumpcare.

WHY cannot Obamascare be killed using the same procedures that were used by Piglosi, Reid and Obie to pass it? It required some questionable shenanigans but they did it - what is wrong with the Repubs? GROW A SPINE.

How Obamacare Became Law

I originally posted this piece on November 21, 2013. However after yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling it began trending, so I’m reposting it:

It was the trickiest legislative move ever accomplished in the Congress. Here’s my best play-by-play:

Obamacare was signed into law in March 2010. If you recall, Nancy Pelosi’s Democratic majority in the House of Representatives was unable to pass their version of a healthcare law. Because all revenue bills have to originate in the House, the Senate found a bill that met those qualifications: HR3590, a military housing bill. They essentially stripped the bill of its original language and turned it into the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), aka Obamacare.

The Senate at that time had 60 Democrats, just enough to pass Obamacare. However after the bill passed the Senate, Democrat Senator Ted Kennedy died. In his place, Massachusetts elected Republican Scott Brown. That meant that if the House made any changes to the bill the Senate wouldn’t have the necessary number of votes to pass the amended bill (because they knew no Republicans would vote for Obamacare). So Senate Leader Harry Reid cut a deal with Pelosi: the House would pass the Senate bill without any changes if the Senate agreed to pass a separate bill by the House that made changes to the Senate version of Obamacare. This second bill was called the Reconciliation Act of 2010. So the House passed PPACA, the Senate bill, as well as their Reconciliation Act. At this point PPACA was ready for the President to sign, but the Senate still needed to pass the Reconciliation Act from the House.

Confused?

We all were.

And it got worse.

Remember that the Senate only had 59 votes to pass the Reconciliation Act since Republican Scott Brown replaced Democrat Ted Kennedy. Therefore in order to pass the Act Senate Democrats decided to change the rules. They declared that they could use the “Reconciliation Rule (this is a different “reconciliation” than the House bill). This rule was only supposed to be used for budget item approvals so that such items could be passed with only 51 votes in the Senate, not the usual 60.
So both of the “Acts” were able to pass both houses of Congress and sent to President Obama for his signature without a single Republican vote in favor of the legislation. The American system of governance was shafted. To quote Democrat Rep. Alcee Hastings of the House Rules Committee during the bill process: “We’re making up the rules as we go along.”

Since it was deemed passed, I think Trump can deem it dead.

That SOB bill was never passed the right way.

“The White House is casting it as an effort to unite Democrats behind a plan to protect the law, known as the Affordable Care Act”

Excellent. With obamacare in a death spiral, Democrat obstruction guarantees enough time for a complete collapse. Obama is setting the Dems up for yet another obamacacare suicide mission that guarantees that they will lose even more House and Senate seats two years from now. Obama will still be haunting the Democrat party even when he is no longer President.

With Donald Trump as President, the fake stream media no longer has the credibility to convince the American people with their lies that the obamacare collapse is all the Republicans fault: President Trump will come out blasting against that kind of fake stream media propaganda, unlike the frightened little Milquetoast Republicans of the past.

Democrats only need to peel off three Republican Senators.

NEVER underestimate the capability of the STUPID PARTY (Republicans) to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

They tried stopping Trump right up to election day and even after he won only half-heartedly jumped on the Trump Train. Even then, not all of them have (McCain, Graham, others...) and continue to rail against Trump.

I for one wouldn't be surprised to see the U.S. Senate kill attempts to repeal Obamacare. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

"... only way the Democrats save ObamaCare is to scare off at
least three Republican senators."

Scare off? They're going to pay them off. I'm sure that
there are a few GOPe Senators who want a few million bucks.
