Of course, even if reciprocal carry becomes law, there will be jurisdictions that refuse to accept it. They will try to legally crush anyone unfortunate enough to have the “audacity” to want to exercise their rights.

It’ll be law, but in effect, it will be financially ruinous if you try to carry in places like NYC.

Probably not. The nature of concealed carry makes it very difficult to know who is carrying.

We’ve had several cases in VA in years past where folks who were carrying openly were arrested. Perfectly legal to OC in VA. The going settlement for a false arrest in VA is about $10K. So, the cities in question might not like the law, but they’ll be scratching checks for any bad arrests.

Oh and since this’ll be a Fed statute, the arrestee will likely be able to take it directly to Federal court.

You are spot-on about the financial component.
President Trump can hopefully make it very clear baseless government abuses will not be tolerated.
Hopefully a handful of expensive settlement checks will keep anti-gun cities in line.
