Will Mitch McConnell grow a pair?
Canada Free Press ^ | 02/01/17 | David Hogberg

If the Senate Majority Leader stays true to form, President Trump's Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch is going nowhere

When Senate Democrats confirmed yesterday that they will filibuster President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) responded, “What I would expect from our Democratic friends is that the nominee be handled similarly to Clinton’s and Obama’s first two nominees in their first terms.”

Wow. If I were Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), I’d be peeing my pants.

He will grow a pair of cotton balls that will be there as long as the wind is not blowing. He goes where the wind blows, and his cotton balls will be the first to go.

I have always...(well, since Nov. 8th) believed that the libs don’t have the guts to force the nuclear option for the first USSC nominee.

They’d rather hope to regain the Senate majority in 2018 and forestall a second and game changing conservative nominee.

Yertle doesn’t have the balls to go nuclear.
The least he can do is make the Democrats do a real filibuster.
Don’t just fold to the threat like they always do.

Mitch is doing good right now. I think he deserves our support. But, I know many don’t agree. That’s okay too.

I was appalled with Senator Franken’s character assassination of Sessions and Cruz in the hearings this AM. The silver lining might be that the DC ‘pubs stand together. There’s no way to walk back the things that were said this AM, and they have no choice but for the Republicans to stand together....or they’ll be next.

McConnell grow a pair?

If they are the congressional Republican variety, he will need a whole cluster.

Orin Hatch was really pissed.... AS HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN

President Trump has displayed pure, steadfast, and raw COURAGE for the past two weeks. It’s my hope and prayer that President Trump’s courage will help spineless RINO’s (and the rest of the GOP) to summon their own personal courage, follow this great leader into battle.

We must pray every day for President Trump’s good health, safety, and steely resolve. God bless President Trump, God bless America!

The problem is not Mitch McConnell's political courage.

The problem is McConnell's political principles.

McConnell is a center-left Republican.

And so is Paul Ryan.

And so is almost every other national GOP leader.

President Trump Announces Dr. Gorsuch as Supreme Court Nominee – And Why Senator Chuck Schumer Will Not Filibuster….

[...]

Senator Schumer’s only play is to delay the confirmation process because he doesn’t want Gorsuch on this year’s SCOTUS rulings, which by itself is doubtful if McConnell finds his balls, but Schumer will NOT block the overall nomination. Here’s why.

[...]

SCHUMER’S CARDS – If Schumer filibusters Judge Gorsuch now, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will, most likely, use the nuclear option and point to Senator Schumer as the reason therein.  That means Gorsuch on the bench having needed only 51 votes.

McConnell points to Schumers intransigence and also points to the former confirmation of Gorsuch, against the backdrop of the Judges impeccable character and credentials etc.

Deployment of the nuclear option means, more consequentially, when Justice Kennedy announces his retirement, ANY replacement – including a much, much more conservative replacement like Pryor – is a guaranteed seat only needing 51 votes.

Think about it.  The court would then lean even further to the right, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 2017, (now 84-years-old), clinging to a respirator in year one of President Trump’s tenure.

[...]
