The timing is suspect. Just a matter of days after John McCain made an “unusual” trip to Syria and Turkey, the Turkish government has cut off water supplies from the Euphrates River into northern Syria, violating international conventions on water rights.

It’s the US Senate Republicans I’m most upset with. They should be DEMANDING that McCain be charged as a war criminal, instead of enabling his behavior.
It generally is whenever John McCain is involved. How does that saying go? "Once makes it accidental, twice makes it suspect, forty or fifty times makes it…"
John McCain is a dangerous man, and those who have enabled him are either evil, naive, or a combination of the two. His courier-like shuttle trips to/from Islamists at this point in time reinforces my belief that he needs his own water cut off tout de suite.

Those who control McCain are the ones benefiting. He has decreased mental capacity and somebody is pulling the strings. The fact that his natural inclinations are in this reckless direction is a bonus for them.

Why do you suppose the good senator has been doing so much of that wearying, jet-lag-inducing overseas traveling, when nice, "secure" digital means are available? One would almost think he was paranoid about taps, resorting to carrying an old-fashioned, "un-eavesdroppable" diplomatic case with marching orders from someone... or FOR someone. From the Middle East to the UK, he or an aide sure seem to like being the courier.

Well, AZ just re-elected him - another 6 years. I think this may be why he made the trip now .. he feels pretty sure nobody is going to UN-elect him.
However, AZ should get a brain and hold a recall election, and/or arrest McCain for “Collaborating with the ENEMY”, and appoint another person to the Senate until another election can be held.
I’m not holding my breath.
I was kidding about him being SoS. It just seems like he does a lot of work that seems like it belongs in the State Department’s job description.
I believe he is now also actively working as an agent to overthrow the duly elected current administration of the United States government.
