Nigerian welfare scam Jonn Lilyea | March 13, 2017 | 25 Comments

Bobo sends a link to the story of an Arlington, Virginia woman, Helen Agbapuruonwu, who has been collecting welfare benefits for the last six years, while her husband, Fidelis Agbapuruonwu, was earning a seven figure income as a lawyer with the DC firm of Mayer Brown.

She’s been arrested while folks believe that Fidelis, a Nigerian immigrant, has “fled the country and is somewhere in Africa.”

Police say a six-month investigation into Helen Agbapuruonwu, 41, found that the mother of four had collected benefits like food stamps and Medicaid assistance for the past six years.

While Helen was collecting benefits, her husband, Fidelis Agbapuruonwu, was earning $1.5 million per year as a lawyer, according to court documents obtained by News4.

In 2001, Fidelis received the prestigious Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship which helped pay his way through law school.

This is one that’s hard for me to fathom. If he’s earning $1.5 million a year, why risk it by collecting Welfare and Food Stamps. Surely they can afford anything they want on that income. Why risk getting caught? I guess its like the Scorpion in the fable — they do it because its their nature.

Agbapuruonwu

Is that an anagram in the "before" state?

This is the Liberal mentality. They deserve it and most of these government programs are controlled by them and they teach their followers how to milk the system. Most of the fraud in government is orchestrated by and for Liberals.

This is how they circulate government funds to their leaders. Why do you not realize that 95% of government employees donate to Democrats. Conservatives that are honest are being bilked of billions yearly.

Obama Was First President to Spend More on Welfare Than Defense

By Terence P. Jeffrey | January 20, 2017 | 2:52 PM EST

(CNSNews.com) - Barack Obama was the first president of the United States to spend more on “means-tested entitlements”—AKA welfare—than on national defense, according to data published by his own Office of Management and Budget.

They are not going to pay this guy $1.5 million out of the good of their hearts.

Obviously, he is the bigger scammer of the two. He may have just been a bagman for payoffs to Nigerian politicians, some dirty tricks operation, or some such racket.

Fortunately this can have a happy ending. Mr. One Point Five Million should be required to pay back every penny they scammed from the government with interest and fines, plus tax on all of that money with interest, fees and fines. The IRS should be freezing his bank account as we speak.

If they looked into many so called “immigrants” on welfare, they will find cases just like this. Many of these welfare scammers have no respect for our laws and think we are stupid for not taking full advantage of all govt. handouts.
