AUSTIN, Texas (AP) A private prison company has announced a $110 million federal contract to build the first new immigrant detention center under the Trump administration.
The GEO Group said Thursday the 1,000-bed detention center will be in Conroe, Texas, north of Houston. It's scheduled to open by December 2018.
The center coincides with President Donald Trump's promised expansion of immigration detention, part of a crackdown on immigrants in the country illegally....

How many of the contractors will hire illegal aliens to do the work?
Trump keeping his campaign promise on illegal immigration. So much winning.
The states were getting scr**** cuz they weren't getting reimbursed for holding these cruddy illegals.
Conroe has the worst drivers in Texas. And that’s about the nicest thing I can say about it.
Just keep facilities simple with no frills.
Go to hell, Never Trump dim wit.
Even when he keeps his promises, jerk offs like you find something to whine about.
You had a chance to make that issue in the primaries and you candidate got his ass kicked.
They should bring Joe Arpaio in as a consultant.
Tents and bologna sandwiches.
Contractors like illegals because they cannot ever become competitors.
People with status after 7 years can apply for a license and could eventually become general contractors.
Hire all illegals and then the number of general contractors is much lower in a state like like California.
Check my posts. I have supported Trump since he was nominated. I’m just being realistic. There are practically no checks and balances that prevent the contractors from hiring illegals. Hell, illegal aliens have been found on military bases and in secure areas.
That’s what you opted to make of the article???????
Sounds like it. Good news. Question - wouldn’t it make more sense to build one closer to the border - easier for travel back - just asking? Perhaps there are a lot of illegals in the Houston and surrounding area that they’ll take to this one?
