On Friday, Hillary Clintons 2016 presidential campaign manager, Robby Mook, likened the ongoing controversy over President Donald Trumps firing of FBI Director James Comey to the scandal that brought down former President Richard Nixon.
I think the real issue is the longer this goes on, the more and more this is looking like Watergate, Mook said on MSNBC Live. I dont say that lightly.
He continued, You have a president who probably did something wrong. You had an investigation that was closing in on him and his associates. And everything were hearing all the reporting is pointing to the fact that Director Comeys investigation was getting too close; and the President wanted to disrupt that.
He said that it really comes down to Congress to act here, concluding, The investigation needs to go independent. Congress can make that happen today if they want; and they need to take action.
Mook also sent out these Watergate-related tweets this week:

Actually there is a Watergate-like element to this story, in the way that the Obama regime was surveilling its political opposition.

And everything were hearing all the reporting is pointing to the fact that Director Comeys investigation was getting too close Well, that says a lot about the media.
It doesn't say much about Comey's investigation.
And it certainly doesn't say anything about Donald Trump's behavior.

You have a president who probably did something wrong You have zero evidence of that.
You had an investigation that was closing in on him and his associates.
You have zero evidence of that.
And everything were hearing all the reporting is pointing to the fact that Director Comeys investigation was getting too close; and the President wanted to disrupt that.
You have zero evidence of that.
In other words you are talking out your.....kazoo. Ordinarily I would chide you and say "you're gonna look pretty foolish when the facts finally work their way to the surface" but in truth you couldn't possibly look any more foolish than you do now.

Robbie Mook probably watches "All the President's Men" and fantasizes about being Deep Throat.

I am sure that, to Mr. Mook, everything looks like Watergate. That is his hammer. It’s the only tool he has.

What Nixon did was mostly prospective rather than accomplished. He talked about enemies' lists. He talked about siccing the IRS on his opponents. He didn't do it.

Never take any explanation seriously from a man whose name means “a contemptible, incompetent person,” especially this buffoon named “Mook.”

Miss Robby Mook has come out of mourning after her managed loss of the Presidency (considered a slam dunk win) for Benghazi Clinton ... was her mourning dress torn, was her eyes red from crying, or was she just drunk on her own ego and arrogance?

Mook is the RATs’ next incarnation of Podesta. He got the Rolodex. And he’s queer. And he does data. Just not to his advantage.

Comey should have been FIRED!
(1) Comey used the British spy’s fake dossier.
(2) The FBI funded this BS under his watch.
(3) Trump was a political target of the FBI.
(4) Trump is the VICTIM of all this.
Comey should have been FIRED long ago.

And everything were hearing all the reporting is pointing to the fact that Director Comeys investigation was getting too close; and the President wanted to disrupt that. This was the plan to impeach Trump. Comey and Yates were attempting to entrap Trump with a phony investigation into "Russian influence." They wanted to goad him into shutting down the investigation, at which point he would appear corrupt, and would be impeached. President Trump did not take the bait, and not only that, has enough evidence now about Comey's coup attempt that Comey and McCabe can probably be prosecuted.

..On July 25, first day of the DNC convention, 3 days after the Wikileaks reveal, Dem campaign manager Robby Mook went on CNN and claimed that Russians were behind the hacking of DNC emails. He said that experts are telling us that Russians did it, then referred to experts again and again during the interview. Jake Tapper, as if he were Mooks defense attorney, asked him good questions, even asked for evidence, but then accepted whatever answer Mook gave, in as long an uninterrupted time that it took Mook to answer, with never a challenge to its veracity. Tapper certainly did not challenge Mook to name any of these so-called experts. IMHO they could have been members of Hillarys campaign who dreamed up the claim. Following this CNN interview, the idea that the Russians hacked the DNC emails was no longer touted by the MSM as an unsourced claim but as a fact according to reporting on CNN. I remember this being the reference that was made to look like there was proof. Before rewatching this interview recently, I did not remember that Mook used the term experts over and over. It is very likely that later references to this interview referred to the experts on CNN. There were, of course NO named experts making the claims but truth in reporting has little to do with the MSM.
The below is a later description by CNN of the interview. Now even CNN puts quotes around experts. Perhaps using quotes is another way to say fake.
Hillary Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said in an interview with CNNs Jake Tapper that experts have said Russians coordinated the hack and release of DNC emails to help the Donald Trump campaign. Source: CNN
