I will drink to that! Silicon valley is also full of outfits started by Indian immigrants employing Americans. MOST India born immigrants are productive. I am sure there are a few bad apples as well.

When Lord Mountbatten, last Viceroy of India gave India independence, he also took the part of India with the largest Mussie population to create Pakistan. The Hindus in that part of India had to flee for their lives to escape the Muslims.
I know this first hand from a good friend of mine from India. They lived in the part of India that became Pakistan.

Newark NJ was a hub of (mostly from an area of Campania, Italy where my gr-grandfather was born and where his brother and cousins immigrated to Newark) tailors, shoemakers and various shopkeepers from the early 1900’s to the 1950’s. The majority came through Ellis Island and others from other ports along the east coast LEGALLY. One of my cousins started a silk textile companyin the 1920’s in upper NJ where they had dozens of folks from the same village in Italy working there and getting their start in the American way of life.
So glad to hear about this Indian’s new but really old idea of starting manufacturing again.
