During the hearing, Senator Susan Collins asked Comey if he had shown copies of his memos to “anyone outside” of the Justice Department.
Comey replied, “yes,” saying he made the decision to do so after President Trump tweeted about possible audio recordings the day after he was fired.
However, that information seems to be inaccurate, because the memo was leaked to the New York Times May 11th and President Trump tweeted on the 12th.
Comey said he hoped to benefit from that leak.

What I'd like to know is when did President Trump find out that Comey was the leaker in the FBI? Was that a factor in his being fired?
I was appalled, and can no longer comprehend why those involved in the coup are still making excuses for Comey. If he was so dang concerned about President Trump's approach, why didn't he just explain protocol to him? And why wasn't he concerned when Loretta Lynch told him not to call an investigation an investigation?
I knew the DC swamp was bad, and its creatures weren't going to leave gracefully. But mygosh. The swampthings would rather destroy the nation than cede power.

Comey rapidly approaches indictable. This guy is one piece of work. Head of the FBI? What a sniveling piece of crap!
Other than a touch of dementia...which caused him to sound confused and not be able to best sell the pretty good point he was trying to make.
But what will be done about it?
Prosecution and jail time? Slap on the wrist? A cushy job at a leftist institution? A Nobel Prize of some sort?

I suggested in another thread that he actually deserved credit for attempting to defend Trump by contrasting President Trump's treatment to Hillary's free pass. However, the senator was somewhat confused and didn't sound all that well. As a result, his argument came out weak.
While the Times did publish an article on May 11 describing the January 27 dinner in which Trump purportedly asked Comey for his loyalty, the Times cited officials who recalled Comey’s descriptions of the evening to them, not the memos themselves.
CBS, ABC, CNN, USAToday are all still saying at their websites that Donald Trump is guilty of whatever they say he is guilty of when they all know that James Comey should be arrested for perjury at the very least.
