EXCLUSIVE: DOJ Brass Says Comey Struck Insider Immunity Deal With Mueller To Avoid Criminal Charges

A high-ranking Justice Department official believes Special Counsel Robert Mueller has granted a complete get-out-of-jail-free-card deal for disgraced FBI Director James Comey: A coveted immunity deal in exchange for cooperating as a key witness.

“The immunity is a done deal,” a Justice Department source said. “Mueller can do whatever he wants. We (Justice) have no say but after many years working criminal cases I know Comey has been given immunity. You can tell by the way he is acting now and the fact that Mueller has kept us in the dark about his investigation.”

Bad source here, but the premise makes sense, or why else would Mueller get a heads up by Comey that he was going to be heard on the Hill. Sounds very risky without some deal or assurances.

This is a Coup d etat. If this is true, this report of immunity for Comey, Trump should fire Mueller

Um, why would Mueller’s immunity deal stop the DOJ from prosecuting Comey independently? I say charge Comey NOW with a crime and see what Mueller does. If he protests, he has earned his own termination.

Turley has an article about Muellers hiring of Dreeden, who invented the legal theory of obstruction of justice without intent.

28 U.S.C. § 594 (a)Authorities.—Notwithstanding any other provision of law, an independent counsel appointed under this chapter shall have, with respect to all matters in such independent counsel’s prosecutorial jurisdiction established under this chapter, full power and independent authority to exercise all investigative and prosecutorial functions and powers of the Department of Justice, the Attorney General, and any other officer or employee of the Department of Justice, except that the Attorney General shall exercise direction or control as to those matters that specifically require the Attorney General’s personal action under section 2516 of title 18. Such investigative and prosecutorial functions and powers shall include—

(7) making applications to any Federal court for a grant of immunity to any witness, consistent with applicable statutory requirements, or for warrants, subpoenas, or other court orders, and, for purposes of sections 6003, 6004, and 6005 of title 18, exercising the authority vested in a United States attorney or the Attorney General;

If Comey is granted immunity it is because he actually committed a crime.

Apparently Mueller has found the first crime in this investigation and immediately granted immunity to the criminal.

If Mueller grants anyone “immunity” Trump should fire him immediately.

In fact, Trump should fire him anyway. There is no underlying crime other than that which was admitted to by Comey in his sworn testmony.

If Mueller can offer immunity, Trump can pardon every person Mueller railroads.

“Thanks for that clarification, Ray. Appreciate the legwork.”

If I am reading this correctly Jeff Sessions would have to sign off on an immunity deal? I don’t think that has happened.

I suppose this immunity deal is for atracks on Trump, and not to denounce fiendish actions under Obama under Obama’s orders.

An unnamed source "thinks" Comey has a deal because "of the way he's acting".

Well gee, that's a real solid basis for such a story.

That independent counsel law you cited has expired.

What the DOJ is now operating under is merely its own regulations, not the expired law, and is at 28 CFR Part 600.

As they said, it seems a globalist agreement has been set in Politicaly Correct stone, and now anyone denouncing the globalist frauds such as Climate Change or whatever, will be processed out with the UN agenda processed in. This is not just about Trump, but about destroying A,erica’s sovereignty.

No way. These people are not that stupid. Were there such a deal, it would be seen by the people as proof Comey is guilty, and good cause for removal for anyone involved.

Comey already has effective immunity, with his buddy in charge of the “investigation”.

The Constitution was written to ensure the complete and absolute separation of powers between the Judicial branch, the legislative branch and the executive branch. That means Congress cannot exercise executive authority, and cannot delegate anyone else to do so. That includes a “special counsel.”

Prosecuting a criminal case is exclusively an executive action, and so can only Constitutionally be done by the Executive Branch. That also means that only the Executive Branch can grant Constitutionally-valid immunity from prosecution.

The actions of the “special counsel” are Constitutionally null and void.
