Get this.......A Harvard grad is upset because her “White Male Boss” fired her for being late on her FIRST DAY on the job. Checkout her attitude! I hope her boss has a copy of this video to send out to other employers checking her work history.

Now, now. The girl is a “victim” of parents who neglected to administer a bit of corporal punishment, when she had one tantrum too many as a child. Poor dear just does not know how to behave in relation to other people.

Right, I have a drawer full of their keys, phones, id’s, wallet’s, eyeglasses.... that are lost all the time.
Some of these people lose their keys a couple times a week. One girl, uses our dept. charge card and the third time she used it, she lost it. She couldn’t use her professors... because the Prof lost their own, too
They can’t follow guidelines, fill out forms, the don’t GET academic compliance, and it’s amazing how they can get themselves HERE daily, without incident...
Last week, one of them left a lab door open because she didn’t know how to lock it without the key....like, she couldn’t reach over and turn the latch on her way out...
I guess I'm stuck with Cognitive Privilege.

I was discussing this topic with a friend the other day—how a variety of ancient cultures dealt with dangerous and/or stupid members of their tribe.
Some cultures just banned them from the civilization and left them to try to survive in the wilderness.
One more modern culture just sent them on boats to Australia. :-)

and damned be those of us who are motivationally privileged. (e.g. willing to get off our butts and work for a living)

Amen! And cognitively privileged enough to realize that working hard to achieve the highest possible goals is exactly how the world works. Motivation means that when we fail, we get up and keep on going, because what other choice is there, really? Oops! There’s that cognitive privilege, again.
