That would be a very safe bet!
I think there are many on BOTH SIDES of Congress who are complicit in this.
I recall reading in an article in Playboy, in the late 70s or early 80s, about a Congresscritter, who, IIRC, crashed his car, while drunk, in the company of a female escort. I think his first name was Wilbur, but it was a long time ago, so my memory is a little fuzzy.
This article mentioned that the DC po-po tried to hide him from TV cameras, so they would not see that it was a Congresscritter. That was SOP for the DC po-po at the time (District of Corruption), regardless of who the politician was and regardless of which party he/she represented. I cannot imagine that things have gotten any more.
I am absolutely certain that there is so much immorality amongst the high level politicians and their appointees, that the ‘District of Corruption’ makes Las Vegas look like a monastery! (’What happens in DC, stays in DC!’) There is likely so much corruption that someone has something on 95% of EVERYONE at the higher levels, hence the ‘Deep State’ paralysis. DJT, for all his faults (and we ALL have faults), is an outsider, trying to get the government back to a point where it is more BY THE PEOPLE and FOR THE PEOPLE rather than ‘by the insiders, for the insiders’. DJT is a danger to the intricate web of deceit and blackmail that exists within the 68.34 square miles that make up the ‘District of Corruption’ (and it’s environs).
