Or maybe a lot of us who voted for him want to make sure he is held accountable to his promises, instead of licking his butt? You dopes are just running around in circles, sniff each others butts, reacting to any convoluted article that is posted with CLEARLY misleading and clickbait titles. Trump has always said that the border will have parts that are walls, and fences when appropriate. Did you ever bother to take a geography class? Did you notice how our border with Mexico isnt a straight and flat g*ddamn expanse? building a solid concrete wall there would not make sense in the Rocky Mountains, because YOU CANT. Places that are low-traffic, with perfectly adequate and effective fencing and walls ought to be reinforced, and updated. If those sections work, then why the hell would you needlessly demolish it? Just because? It's like some of you dont want the border secure, more than just the aesthetic of a 1,200 mile 50 foot high concrete wall. And unless you get 1,200 miles of aesthetic, then OMG Trump has "beeeetrrrrrraaaaaayed" you. But hell, we cant expect people here to be THAT thoughtful.

“The tweet from Trump says they now are renovating old areas, but that the wall wiil be built.
This article is fake reporting.”

It sure as hell is. Renovating existing “walls” will be part of the wall. A fence can be renovated into a 20” wall.

There seem to be a lot of “Trump supporters” who are looking for every excuse, real or imagined, to not be a “Trump supporter”

There seem to be a lot of Never Trump jackasses coming out of the woodwork that want something to bitch at him about.

Trump just waived environmental regulations to get as much work down on the wall that can be given the fact that Republicans in Congress are blocking funding of the wall.

They wish!

Trump: I like cheeseburgers

Media: Trump declares cheeseburger-only diet superior to all other nutrition. Pizza, vitamins to be outlawed.

They did it during the SCOTUS nomination.

They did it before pulling out of the Paris Accords.

They did it after Syria.

They did it after the Afghanistan decision.

They wander over from the “GOPBriefingRoom” forums like clockwork.

What is your fascination with butt licking?

Not that there’s anything wrong with that...

Or maybe a lot of us who voted for him want to make sure he is held accountable to his promises, instead of licking his butt?

But, the hell more do you want him to do?

Republicans in Congress are blocking funding for the wall. He's gotten funding for some of it and waived environmental regulations to get it done as quickly as possible.

There has been no DACA deal so its absurd to whine about a deal that hasn't been done.

Just watched the latest Scott Adams. Nice explanation of the “the wall” there. Trump is getting what he wants...more money for border security, new immigration laws and enforcement of immigration laws.. You can build a wall but if there’s nothing there to prevent anyone from climbing over and/or having a system in place that prevents people from climbing over then a wall is meaningless.

Not just the left, but also the original Never-Trumpers on the right. The Cruz supporters, Mark Levin and NRO crowd.

Trump must be doing a pretty good job because it has been six months since they went bonkers (over the bombing in Syria).

For real.

I think of these irrelevants as the gray-ponytailed hippies of the GOP.

Their days are numbered, thankfully.

And we have dimwits here on FR egging them on.

Boy Howdy...do we ever!!! However, I don't think they are dimwits. I think they are just Republicans, and they just personify why I have not and will never join the GOP.

I’d like him to not tweet about a de facto amnesty for illegals, no matter how soft and cuddly they’ve suddenly become since Trump likes them now. Why is he giving congress six months to legislate into being what is a bad program anyway?

I’d like him to work with Rs and not Ds on the debt ceiling. If the Rs are having trouble working with him, we should be putting pressure on them, instead of welcoming his pivot to working with Ds.

I’d like him to refuse to sign a hurricane relief bill that contains pork.

I’d like him not to tell me that his big beautiful new wall is really just repairing fences and BIG Security, whatever the hell that is supposed to be.

#4: "Trump says they now are renovating old areas, but that the wall will be built."

This issue is of such grave importance, that it needs to be clarified in plain, unambiguous language that is not subject to wiggle room and interpretation. This issue is too critical to the future of America (and to the future of this administration) to be addressed in one line "tweets".

America needs a formal policy statement now in the same clear language of the campaign.

We were promised a real wall, a new wall. We weren't promised that he would paint the old wall. We are being played, I'm afraid.

Trump never promised to build a concrete wall hundreds of feet high across the entire border. All reasonable people have always known that there are long stretches of the border where no wall is needed, or that different types of barriers will do in different areas.

I turned against Cruz when I heard him start claiming that “Donald wants single-payer for every American,” when what Trump had actually said was, “We’re not going to let anyone die in the street for lack of health care.”

Liars like Cruz are constantly yapping about Trump’s “lies.”

BS. It is not unreasonable to want/expect a continuous border wall from Brownsville to San Diego. So speak for yourself.

Here at Redstone Arsenal, back in the 50s, when the Apollo rockets were developed here, a Commanding General wanted to build a swimming pool but could not get the funding. He was able to get funding to build a fire fighting reservoir complete with diving boards, ladders and life guard stations.

The point is: “renovation” can cover many things.

The utter willingness and quickness to believe in a Trump “sell out” is amazing. In this case, I took his message to mean, not only am I building the wall now (where I can) I will be building it anew in the future. The Never Trumper, who will now claim that they care about a wall, will decry this as a betrayal simply for the purpose of trying to destroy Trump’s support amongst his base. The panicked Trump supporter will let their fears (that the Ivanka wing it taking over) rush them to judgement. Both are understandable.

It is clear that the moderate wing of the democrat party that calls itself the GOPe is against Trump and is sabotaging him. If he continues to rely on them to get things done, then he will accomplish nada. Trump has realized that the liberal wing’s hatred of the moderate wing is such that they are more than willing to cooperate with Trump if it means sticking it to the moderates, aka GOPe.

Reagan had to make deals with Tip O’Neil. Trump will have to make deals with, well, someone if he wants his agenda done. If it means he makes deals with people who want to stick it to the GOPe to get his wall, so be it.
