Well, like he said on the tarmac, they are not talking amnesty. However, unfortunately he also said in his tweet, "Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military? Really!....."
I don't think he has anything to gain. I have no way of knowing, but I think he feels it would be very difficult, both personally to him & politically, to deport these so called DACA illegal aliens. I think he has a little bit of compassion for them. I'm not saying I agree with him on this part, just how I think he sees it.
Oh and the snakes Nancy and schumer along with mediawhores are playing this brilliantly cooked scheme to folks who ALL OF SUDDEN BELIEVE the fake news!! Nah, I’ve been here since reinstated but I was never a never Trumper. I know about all the fake news and watched the video of how they are building the wall. (really cool) They have sections going up that will be prototypes and then they will use the best section for the rest. Why would they tear down what has already been built when they can just fix it? $$$

In New York City, it is sometimes easier to get a building permit for renovation (or alteration) of a building than for new construction. However, one can start with a 3-story townhouse, and end up with a 10-story condo, through a process of "alteration" that leaves little more than some exterior walls of the previously existing building. So I agree - especially to a New York builder, "renovation" can cover a lot of construction work.
A minefield would be a good barrier.

There were some good Freepers who permanently left this forum because of the hateful attacks on them for supporting Cruz. And certain people on this forum STILL can’t let it go.
I’ve seen sore losers in my life, but I’ve never seen such a bunch of sore winners.
When Trump secured the nomination I crossed over and became a broken-glass Trump voter. And I’m still all in.
I have not always agreed with Cruz on everything, nor have I always agreed with Trump on every single thing. But Trump is our president. He’s doing an incredible job, especially considering what he’s up against.
In retrospect, I don’t think Cruz could have beat Hillary. And I don’t think Cruz could have withstood the attacks if he had won. So it’s good that we have Trump.
And I will agree with you on one thing. It gets really old constantly hearing those running around saying the sky is falling every time the leftwing media or the real Never-Trump crowd reports something negative about Trump.
Just don’t lump original Cruz supporters with the Never-Trump crowd. I’m part of the first group, but I’ve never been part of the second. I supported and continue to support Cruz because he has always taken a very conservative position on nearly every issue. I supported and continue to support Trump for the same reason.
Cruz seems to be ideologically conservative, but is weak when it comes to globalism versus nationalism. Trump may not be ideologically conservative, but he is pragmatically because he can see what works and what does not.
I’m still hopefully optimistic that Trump will be able to do some significant house cleaning in Washington and then get some big things accomplished in his first term. If so, his second term will be even better. Meanwhile, we will have to accept the limitations of what he can do because he is, after all, just a mere mortal.
We can take a look at history during the Reagan years with immigration/Amnesty and border security! President Trump is setting himself up to be schlonged by the Democrats just like Reagan was!
