A tale of two Presidents.
The media is actively trying to discredit Donald Trump's effort to rescue Puerto Rico, even to the point of creating fake news.

And more of it can be seen here
The media concern for the victims of disasters, natural and otherwise, was suspended while Barack Obama was President. Obama blew it after hurricane Sandy:
Mr. Obama and his top aides flustered and blustered and bloviated over their superior pre-storm planning. The president vowed that nothing nothing would stop him from saving New York and New Jersey from the vicious storm. He pledged to be on the case around the clock, come hell or high water. And then he blew out of town, headed to Vegas. And when flooding struck Louisiana leaving many dead, obama found himself simply unable to leave the golf course and his vacation:The storm hit one week ago. What is the status of the states hardest hit? Dire. There are still 2.5 million without power, and temperatures have dipped into the 20s (another powerful storm is blowing up the coast and expected to hit the region by midweek). Bodies are still being recovered in Staten Island. Chaos reigns in the streets of the outer boroughs. Residents have taken up arms baseball bats, machetes, shotguns as crime and looting soar. Handmade signs popped up: Looters Will Be Shot and Block Protected By Smith & Wesson.
Its like the Wild West, a borderline lawless situation, said one resident as he stockpiled knives, a machete and a bow and arrow.
Just a day after the storm, frightened citizens queued up for hours in lines to buy gas: Five days later, when the federal government announced free gas (well, free for storm victims; U.S. taxpayers foot the bill), thousands flooded the handout sites. Armed police battled some who cut lines as frustration ran high. At one site for free gas, the line was 16 hours long.
Six days after the storm, officials distributed dry ice (uh, a refrigerators contents spoils in about six hours without power). FEMA ran out of potable water to hand out to the trapped and powerless Saturday the agency hadnt ordered more until late Friday, so new shipments arent expected until Monday at the earliest.
Not even the worst natural disaster since Superstorm Sandy could pry President Obama away from the golf course Wednesday. With 11 people dead and 40,000 homes damaged by floods in Louisiana, Mr. Obama did speak with Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator Craig Fugate Wednesday from his vacation spot in Marthas Vineyard, Massachusetts.
The White House said Mr. Fugate briefed the president on the resources that have been provided to support the response and recovery. Mr. Obama directed FEMA to use all resources available to help in the recovery.
But there were no changes in travel plans announced for the president, who is scheduled to stay on the island until Sunday.
Instead, Mr. Obama headed out later Wednesday to play more golf, his eighth round on the links since arriving on the island on Aug. 6.
A local paper begged obama to pay a visit:
Now that the flood waters ravaging Louisiana are receding, it's time for President Barack Obama to visit the most anguished state in the union. It noted that obama had time for a Hillary Clinton fundraiser:Last week, as torrential rains brought death, destruction and misery to Louisiana, the president continued his vacation at Marthas Vineyard, a playground for the posh and well-connected.
Like his predecessors, Obama has no doubt discovered that crises keep their own calendar, even when commanders-in-chief are trying to take some time off the clock. Its an inconvenience of the presidency, but its what chief executives sign up for when they take the oath of office.Zing.And if the president can interrupt his vacation for a swanky fundraiser for fellow Democrat Hillary Clinton, as he did on Monday, then surely he can make time to show up for a catastrophe thats displaced thousands.
And then there were the riots in Milwaukee. Obama? Fore!
Obama, who is on his final summer retreat to the Massachusetts island as president, has spent almost every night out on the town for unusually late hours, the Associated Press reported Tuesday. On Sunday, as protesters hurled rocks at Milwaukee police officers to protest the shooting of an armed black man, Obama gathered his security and press entourage to go out at nearly 11 p.m. for an unspecified social event. He returned home just before 1 a.m. Monday and played a round of golf later that day, his seventh of his trip since arriving on Aug. 6. Obama was on the golf course for five hours earlier in the day on Sunday.
And you know who did go to Louisiana? Donald Trump.
I get it. Reporters (or should I say pundits, because now they are all pundits) are largely liberals who hate Trump and hate conservatives. That should not matter if journalism is the intent. They are supposed to do their jobs and report the facts of events, free of commentary. Today there is no "news." Figures like Charlie Rose and Chuck Todd tell you what they want you to believe. They can never refrain from injecting opinion into your face. And for some reason, they mostly gave obama a pass every time he screwed up. I wonder why that is.
