‘The aid request includes $12.8 billion in new funds to help storm victims and $16 billion to defray debt in the federal government’s flood insurance program.’

‘The White House said it forecasts the National Flood Insurance Program, which insures about 5 million homes and businesses, will have hurricane losses of about $16 billion and proposed cancelling $16 billion in debt for the program.’

If flood insurance were a business with profits and losses, the company would have to turn off the lights. send all the employees home , close the doors and go our of business.

But I doubt Congress will ever take measures to close down its failed flood insurance program.

That 29 billion is a drop in the very big flood insurance-no flood insurance bucket.

We will be paying far more than 29 billion for the hurricanes that hit Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico.

Don’t be surprised when the 51st star or the “Hurricane Maria Star” is added to the American Flag.

I noticed that the temperature on our outdoor thermometer has dropped substantially.

This will cause all water in this part of the country to freeze up.

Everyone will die of thirst.

There were also little white flakes falling outside.

This will block all roads.

Everyone will starve to death.

Unless, you know, we’ve prepared for that.
