No.
Like when we were kids and had BB gun wars?
FYI, it's a trick Hollywood has used for years when filming trains coming at you; saves the cost of expensive equipment.
Only if I know they well.
Friend maybe
Wife, not so much
Three years ago I replaced the large glass window in my daughter’s back door with a sheet of 3/16” thick polycarbonate (cost $58). A year ago, the local ferals tried to bust through it by smashing it with a cinder block. According to the cops, all it did was put 2 minor scratch marks on it.
No.
Yeah, wannabe YouTube “stars” will film themselves doing some pretty stupid things.
I'm not a coward or safe space seeking snowflake. I take risks, calculated risks. I ride a motorcycle. I've built and flown in (and at the controls of) experimental aircraft. I own and train with firearms. I commute in a small fuel-efficient car rather than a big (presumably safer) SUV. Yes my diet could be better, I should consume a little less alcohol and exercise more. (putting me at various health risks) I've hiked alone in some rather remote and inhospitable areas. I've even been married now for 25+ years letting my twisted sense of humor through and my dear wife hasn't killed me yet. ;-) And assorted other risks...
These are all what some people would call risky behaviors to one degree or another. To me, the perceived rewards are worth the risks involved. Something like this shooting stunt though - no. To me there's really no benefit other than saying yeah, I did it. Not my cup of tea.
depending on the ballistic level of the glass, it was probably a safe bet.
At a previous job, I developed the installation application for ballistic glass on up-armored Humvees.
As I recall, the glass was 7 alternating layers of glass and polycarbonate. Each 2” thick piece was rated for seven hits with a 7.62 mm bullet before they replaced it. I don’t know how many are required to break it.
This is 50 levels of stupid. Next hell make a parachute from a sheet and jump off a 20 story building. Eat a Tide pod. Hes not long for this world. The what ifs are endless. If the glass didnt work, hed be dead and his little buddies would be in jail. The end
It would appear that the correct keyword for this is already posted...
My banks don’t have bulletproof glass anywhere. I have seen bulletproof glass at liquor stores in Bk’lyn, though.
William Burroughs comes to mind.
Can I try with some full loads outta my Dan Wesson?
At least he didn’t wear it while testing...
