So, who documents them? The Federal government. Undocumented is in violation of Federal law. A violation of Federal law makes one a felon. Thus their status as a citizen is illegal.

There ain't no "undocumented" about it. They are Illegal Aliens. Embrace the words. Use the words. One should eschew "undocumented" in such discussions. It makes one sound ignorant.
