President Donald Trump is considering former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to replace fired Attorney General Jeff Sessions, sources familiar with the matter said.

Trump fired Sessions on Wednesday without immediately naming a replacement, instead installing Sessions' chief of staff Matthew Whitaker as acting attorney general.

Christie, a former US attorney, could face similar calls to the ones Sessions faced to recuse himself from special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation given his role as a prominent 2016 campaign surrogate for Trump. Christie was initially considered as a contender for the attorney general position during the transition.

Bondi could face significant hurdles to confirmation over the controversy surrounding a $25,000 gift she received from Trump's foundation during her 2016 re-election campaign....

It needs to be someone who will secure the border and shut down the Witch Hunt.

Just the thought should be enough for some lib assclowns (redundant, I know) to head for a high rise. Works for me.

Well, hold on. If the confirmation is after Jan, we have the votes. Before Jan., it still needs one of the “Four Cuckateers.” (Flakey, Tom Collins, MurCowSki, Corkscrewed).

CNN’s reporting Christie and Bondi as possibilities for AG. We can take them off the list of serious possibilities..

No, and No.

Christie is a self-centered RINO, and Bondi is dumber than a box of rocks.

I’d like to see it be Christie just to make the left go into fits. Christie wouldn’t be my first choice for competence, but for being a contentious jerk, he’d be hard to beat.

Bondi is a sweetheart. However, we need tough, not “nice... oh, isn’t she cute?”

If these were real choices, and the only ones to pick from, I’d go with Christie. Every time I’ve seen Bondi on TV I come away with impression she’s a lightweight. Christie is not.

I hope Trump won’t be so tone-deaf as to name Christie.

Hard to imagine he would be.
