My pets are delicate and classified 'exotics'and sometimes have hard times adjusting to the change of seasons, warm/cold and cold/warm, the humidity changes and temp changes sometimes they do not drink enough and get gi slowdown which requires pain meds and gas drops and massage to help them get back to normal earing and drinking. Normally we can get them through this within an hour or two, but if we cannot it becomes a real emergency and needs vet intervention, as its possible for them to dehydrate, go into shock and die within a day.
I pray for their good health every day, anyone who would offer prayers for them, I would appreciate. They are non-human family members and are all adopted from shelters to our/their forever home.

The worst thing that happened to us in this whole leg amputation fiasco was losing our older dog because no one could watch him while we were both in nursing homes.

As a PS - I have a 14 1/2 year old maltese mix developing canine cognitive disorder. Right now it's the sleep/wake cycle. If anyone has experience with this and wants to share info please FreepMail me. Not asking for prayers.
