Only if the party lets it be done. If the party wants comrade Brown's legacy to be a positive one they can do this. Point out that great damage was done and lives lost due to bad policy. The federal government controls much of the land that burned and was not clearing out the forests, causing huge amounts of fuel to be available. After the fire, Trump visited to look at his handiwork. Both Gavin Newsom and Jerry Brown, appalled at what Trump had done, urged the legislature to pass bills allowing logging and clearing of dead wood so as to prevent future disasters. The party is proud of these comrades, unlike the arch-fascist, arch-imperialist warmonger Donald Trump.
