Lets start with what isnt scandalous: the charges against Roger Stone. Scott embedded Robert Muellers indictment here. Byron York has a good summary of the charges.
The salient point is that Muellers indictment of Stone confirms that the Trump campaign had nothing to do with the theft of emails from the Democratic National Committee or their publication by Wikileaks. The allegations against Stone all have to do with what happened after Wikileaks dumped the first batch of DNC emails. Stone triedunsuccessfullyto get in touch with Julian Assange or someone else who could tell him whether Wikileaks had more emails, and if so, what they contained. As Byron points out, everyone in the political world, in the Summer of 2016, was trying to find out whether Wikileaks had more DNC emails, and if so, what they contained.
There is nothing wrong with what Stone did. Mueller charges, rather, that Stone lied to a Congressional committee about his actions. If that is true, Stone is in trouble. But the charges against him do not support the theory that the Trump campaign colluded with Russians to invade the DNCs email system. On the contrary, the Stone story is just more confirmation that the Trump campaign had nothing to do with it.
Now, for what is truly scandalous about Roger Stones arrest: the manner in which it was carried out. The arrest was preserved on video because someonepresumably either the FBI or Muellers teamtipped off CNN, and CNN had cameras stationed in front of Stones residence at 5:00 in the morning. The video shows a dozen heavily armed FBI agents carrying out what can fairly be described as a paramilitary operation against Stones home. Why? Was there some reason to think Stone was so dangerous that it required a pre-dawn raid by a dozen agents with AR-15s to take him into custody?
No such claim has been made, nor would it be plausible. The show that Mueller and the FBI put on for the cameras of their political ally, CNN, was a disgrace. Here it is:

A few years ago, I couldnt have imagined saying this, but the FBI has proved to be corrupt and hopelessly politicized. It needs, at a minimum, a thorough housecleaning. It might even be necessary to put the FBI out of business and start over with a new federal investigative agency.
I came to the same conclusion early in the Trump Presidency.
need a new FBI agent and a new special counsel to investigate the Mueller team. Mission accomplished when Andrew Weissman is dragged out of his house and arrested at 4:30 in the morning
Comey lied to Congress, Hillary lied to Congress, Brennan lied to Congress, Strzok lied to Congress, etc, etc ...what’s scandalous?????

Identify the pattern ... the FBI has proven to be corrupt and politicized.
I came to that conclusion at Ruby Ridge.
I reached the same conclusion at Waco.
Another thing too....who will even want to work on the Trump re-election committee? He’s intimidating and scaring anyone right now....job well done.
Well, yeah.
Then again, I can go all the way back to Bill Clinton and Janet Reno ordering the "raid" on David Koresh in Waco resulting in the deaths of dozens of innocent women and children via torching that compound.
There is no "jutice" in the true form of the word here in America anymore. If there were, we'd see damn' near everyone in the OBama Administration and Obama himself in jail today.
The public is being warned to never have the temerity to believe you will actually be allowed to chose your leaders or reform government in anyway.
Sending a SWAT team to arrest a guy for lying to Congress in the dark of night when Holder lied to COngress and not a damn thing was done. Oh, and that decrepit old document, the Constitution? They have successfully brought it to life with the express purpose of killing it. Its pretty much dead right now.
I would say that we definitely need to do away with the Pledge of Allegiance...if for no other reason than that the line And justice for all is just about the biggest bad joke imaginable.
Roger Stone answered the door, dressed, at the early hours of the morning.
He was up. He knew what was going on.
He didn’t flee. He stayed and opened the door. This reminds me of Jesus before his crucifixion. Jesus could have run. He didn’t.
I’ve always liked Roger Stone.
Roger Stone taunted Robert Mueller into arresting him. He got what he asked for.
Honestly, I really think Roger Stone likes being a martyr. He bragged he had access to things he didn't have access to, (WikiLeaks) he bragged about connections he didn't have, (Julian Assange) and now his own braggadocious words have the very real potential to hoist him by his own petard.
Gotta wonder what the hell he was thinking taunting Mueller like that.
Also gotta wonder why the entire Obama Administration isn't being arrested for lying to Congress and the FBI like Stone allegedly did. What an injustice we have here.
Sure, they have done some good work.
On the other hand, they have always been very political.
Maybe he was thinking it would expose Mueller and the FBI for the corrupt entities they have become.
I think most right-thinking American’s already know the FBI is corrupt and the rest are hard-core partisan Democrats who don’t care as long as the FBI does their bidding.
You mean like recovering the ruby slippers that were used in the Wizard of Oz and stolen some decades ago? Yep, they recovered those a few years ago and made a big to-do about it.
That's about the last good thing I can think of FBI doing, and that was a complete waste of their time.
