Twitter is a liberal site that censors conservative speech.
Big deal.
Free Republic is a conservative site that censors liberal speech.
Thus I have an account on FR and I do not have an account on S#itter.
Stay on FR and avoid S#itter. Problem solved.
I never see an FR logo on marketing materials or storefronts. I see FB, Twitter, and Instagram, though.
They are adopted universal mediums of communication. FR is not.
I have never seen FR "censor" liberal speech. You can expect some strong push back and you're are expected to defend your position in a rational, civil manner but one can take a "liberal" position and debate it subject to those conditions. The is a big difference between FR and Democratic Underground in that the latter will immediately ban you if you take a conservative position on anything.
Comparing twitter to FR is comparing apples to oranges, but your point is well taken. The solution to the Twitter problem is to support other similar platforms. The only one I know of that could fill the shoes that twitter does is Gab.
Twitter isn’t a site.
