The main task of an undercover cop is to remain, well, undercover. Unfortunately for the undercover cops surveilling Julian Assange they got EXPOSED in a big way just before (and after) they participated in his arrest at the Ecuadoran embassy in London.

Cassandra Fairbanks was great in this. She just wouldn't let go as the undercover cops obviously wished they could just sink into the ground and away from her exposing them on camera.

Its fine ro expose but good journalists do not try to guilt shame the people they are exposing. remaining as professional as possible and tamping down personal bias is best practice, and this was not that.
