Not as if he did not have to go out and achieve insane performance levels even if chemically aided. He still had to ride those races.
You may want to believe that, but cannot prove it.
As Bill Barr said “our roided up guy beat their roided up guys and they got all upset”
Sorry, everyone was doing it - including legal drugs. I certainly don’t feel sorry for him getting caught, but its not the same as betting, where you frequently have an incentive to actually perform poorly.
Oh, I have no lost love for Armstrong, I’m just saying its not the same as Pete Rose / gambling on your own games.
Great. Another example of Crime DOES Pay.
It’s an epidemic.
Everyone who was even in the running to win the TDF was doping and so was Lance. It was a level playing field and he beat all of them, seven times! The real issue was that Lance Armstrong won more than anyone else in the history of the sport and he is an AMERICAN. Yes this whole specticle was about taking America down. If Armstrong was a european no one would have said a damn thing. So to all you leftists losers the world over. Lance Armstrong is the greatest cyclist to ever live and he is an American, so suck it losers.

Lance make cycling somewhat of an interest in the USA during his days.
Don’t remember how I came upon the Tour de France other than most likely
on FR during Lance’s days. Haven’t watched a tour since and have no
idea of whom are even the stars since Lance left.
The same litigants who scored millions of dollars due to his name? Give me a F'n break! They lost nothing after he was banned other than someone to sponsor in the cycling world.
Let me make this clear, I am definitely a fan of Lance Armstrong and everything he has accomplished in the cycling world. Armstrong was the primary target of the USADA who was desperate to take him down, which they did.
The dirty little secret is that the entire European cycling community was immune from any such scrutiny by the USADA and were allowed to continue their careers..........
Other than TDF wins, there was nothing spectacular about his victories, in fact, he was was down the list in career stages won. You'll be hard pressed to find those actual statistics since his TDF history has been scrubbed from Google.
As for the U.S. cycling rats who testified against him, they're nothing more than the slimy Michael Cohens of the U.S. cycling community.........
I like how the Tour organizers have just left those years vacant rather than say the 2nd place rider is now the winner. Because 2nd place also got caught doping. And 3rd. And 4th. Until you get to the guy so far back they didn't bother testing him.
The Europeans could not handle getting smoked by an American so they joined with anti American forces here to take him down desrtroying the legitimacy of the entire sport in the process.
He wasn't riding to win the Happy Face jersey. There is no Miss Congeniality in professional cycling. And neither the UCI nor WADA exists to enforce manners.
Armstrong was racing to win the most grueling endurance event on earth. And he did. Seven times. Was he a narcissistic ass? Yes. Did he train harder than any other rider? Yes. Did he dope? Yes. Did they? Yes.
Lemond rode clean. But that was before doping became as prevalent as it was. And Cadel Evans was after the big anti-dope crusade. For a good 10 - 15 years, doping ws the rule in the pro peloton, not the exception.
So hate Armstrong for being a vile human being. But give him credit for being one hell of a bike rider.
I like the holier-than-thou attitude of worms like Floyd Landis and Tyler Hamilton. Those schmucks have made a cottage industry of Lance-bashing. The same with David Walsh and to some degree, Betsy Landrieu.
Find some other victim to build your reputations on, you freaking parasites.
Even cheating scumbag weasels can make great investments.
Is there any evidence that Rose bet against the Reds?
Like him or not...You could pump 20 gallons of steroids in me or the average guy/girl and they still would never win 7 Tours.
Doesn't matter. Let's say a manager bets on his team to win a game, he may make decisions that may help them win that particular game, but hurt their chances in other games, when he doesn't bet on them to win, for example, leaving a closer in too long, making him unavailable for the next game.
Bill Burr, on Conan.
Eddy Merckx is the greatest ever.
