Moments earlier, the Rams had thrust their dagger, scoring the game-tying touchdown, and the first overtime in Super Bowl history beckoned. But the Patriots, truly Americas team on this night, did what was considered near-impossible in a near-miraculous manner. Leading all game, they were stunned by a Rams touchdown with 1:30 remaining, yet Bill Belichicks underdogs found a way.
