Why does Warren Buffett and Bill Gates hide their money in charitable trusts before they call for higher taxes on the rich? It’s as if they are kicking the rungs out of the ladder behind them.
The scheme of billionaires is an old one.
At johnson&Johnson they under pay workers, ask them to volunteer and donate , and then the company boasts it has donated all that money with the CEO never in sight, ha!
What a joke.
People will never see the color of this tax scheme that only affects the middle class and never goes to help inner cities but foreign development and corporate wellfare programs
Why pay more dollars to the U.S. Treasury? Virtue signalling works just fine.
They wealthy don’t have to wait. Today they can write a check to the U. S. Treasury. Include your Social Security number, name, mailing address, and daytime phone number.
The IRS will cash it within a few hours of receipt.
Take ALL of soros’ money.
Then that would mean the were telling the truth and you know how that works for those people.
That’s why they have the most freezer money next to a congressman.
People who INHERITED their wealth can be a charitable as they wish——
However, they have no right to suggest that those who EARNED their money should be taxed to the same extent.
IF Warren Buffett would pay all of his back taxes, it would put a dent into the National debt.
The top earners already pay the bulk of taxes paid in this country. Those skills are PORTABLE. They can take those abilities elsewhere & avoid this kind of confiscatory tax.
The article says that the wealthy, top .001 of .01, should be proud to pay a bit more, imagine how proud they could be if they were forced to pay a lot more.

Anyone ever seen a rich guilt check from a billionaire made payable to the US Treasury?
Just write a check if you feel so guilty.
