It does look like 2 different babies.
Poor thing will be bald at age 10. Just kidding. I want to the baby’s eyes to see if she’s an albino.
I also would not call this gray hair. Looks Platinum Blond or possibly white to me.
A fraternity brother of mine turned solid gray by age 21. The girls loved it for some reason.

They have two DIFFERENT types of hair. They are two different children. (I happened to get straight, fine, flyaway hair like the child shown in profile).

Source article is poorly written, from a Dermatologic standpoint. Blood normally has zero melanin so can’t be ‘low on it.’ Although there are a couple rare albinism mimics that do have other diagnostic, and problematic for patient, blood changes. DNA testing would be done to confirm oculocutaneous albinism types I or II, with the former often having pinkish eyes and the lighter hair of those two. Baby is pretty pale in the photos so to my eyes, based on them, his skin could fit OCA. Both OCAs are autosomal recessive, each affecting about 1/40,000 whites. And cutely, lots of hair for a newborn. He’ll probably shed most then grow it back.
