Let this serve as a warning to the men on here:
If something doesn't feel right, go see a doctor.
You can catch diseases soon enough to treat them and extend your life. I had food poisoning around the middle of November, then felt discomfort around my heart a few days later. Go to urgent care, they declare a STEMI code for me due to a few abnormal EKGs and detectable troponin levels (it's normally not detectable). Get transferred to a hospital inside of half an hour, put on the table in the Cath lab, and a guy is putting a tube through an artery to make my heart more visible. Turns out I got myopercarditis quickly from the food poisoning - inflammation of the heart lining and muscle. Left untreated, it could lead to a whole host of heart problems.
Semi-related, he introduced me to this site and science fiction, for which I will be eternally grateful. I like some of his music, but went my own way in junior high - my stuff got heavier.

You are being pragmatic. I loved my Dad, but he lived a similar life and died a similar way. I loved him as much as everyone loves their Dad.
As I’ve grown older I guess I get it. I miss him more now than I did then. Often I go to the gym and tell him on the way that I never imagined him doing the same. Then I laugh.
I am sorry for your loss. Don’t be angry at him. People do what they are going to do. All YOU can do is love them.
