Dear Mr. Meacham. None of us should EVER put our lives in the hands of anyone in government, academia, or the media. Each of these is inundated with some of the most clueless and dangerously misinformed people on the planet. When YOU personally need something substantive for your survival (e.g. food, medicine, medical care, transportation, repairs of things that are essential in your life, there will be someone out there who can provide that. Chances are high that many of these people will not share your political views or world views, and they will include many people you would never associate with as friends, but that is because they are more substantive than you - not less. You are truly pathetic.

About 7 or 8 years ago--while Morning Joe was still watchable--he was on talking about the separation of church and state and COMPLETELY misrepresented why the Founders put in the religion clause (it was to prevent the Feds from stopping the individual states' rights to have religious requirements for officeholders) and I knew he knew this since he is a historian. For example, in Delaware you had to believe in the Trinity, other states you had to believe in God, etc.
I wrote him through the station and when the subject came up again he never opened his mouth.
