The comparisons between countries on everything from crime rates to divorce statistics is useless for that reason.
The criteria are different distorting the figures for up to 100 times sometimes.
It’s a big conspiracy to shut down the American economy. The Italian government is over inflating its death rates to make the USA look bad.
Those pictures of overfill hospitals are hoaxes.
If you get a covid flu and die from another disease due to a weakened immune system, you shouldn’t be counted.
What’s the big deal?
Well, smart ass, your continuing snarkiness is wearisome. Just sayin.
Don't you mean disingenuous?
disingenuous: Not candid or sincere, typically by pretending that one knows less about something than one really does.
Or do you perhaps mean ingenious?
ingenious: (of a person) clever, original, and inventive.
Regards,
The purpose of the epidemic is to justify the subsequent legislation. In the US, the $2T package.
What snarkiness? You mean this doesn’t only affect Orientals??
thanx for that...It will be my new resource.
interesting that...
the table being showed in wiki appears to be ahead of the 2 resources being used to populate the table. I’m sure there is a lag somewhere, but I would figure the lag to be the WIKI table, not the resources.
The 2 references [34][35] noted for the US

I’m sure I am missing something...
Yup. And we have people right here who feed the hysteria by posting every single outbreak from every corner of the planet.
Believe me, snarkiness is not a good look for you....not at this time.
Someone in an earlier thread said that the worldometer site checked to some unknown entity in Shanghai and had some other problems. Just tried to find it again and couldn’t.
Same trick they use with alcohol-related deaths.
Modern people seem to have become almost shamanistic in their denial about what is happening. I notice Finance people seem to have the most trouble understand a viral epidemic but it turns out not to be the case. Its quite remarkable.
So I know a woman who has had slow growth lymphoma for 30 years. Every 5 years or so she has chemo.
If she gets coronavirus and dies, did Coronavirus or lymphoma kill her?
Same thing with someone whose had Diabetes for 10 years. The immediate cause of death is coronvirus, not the condition that they had been living with.
No way to know for sure, but it’s likely the CV precipitated the heart attack.
So I’d go with CV.
It’s sort of like the old adage that Heart disease is considered the number one killer of old people. Because if doctors can’t find a specific cause they rule it a myocardial infarction. Their heart stopped.
Can’t prove them wrong.
Not true. The CDC exaggerates the numbers.
Less than 500 deaths in the U.S. each year are actually attributed to the flu:
http://www.urgentcarefl.com/many-people-die-flu-every-year-us/
For example, the National Vital Statistics System reported fewer than 500 flu-related deaths in 2010thats a lot less than the thousands of deaths estimated by the CDC.
Yeah, that skating rink in France which was converted to a morgue is a hoax to shut down the American economy/s
People here need to get a clue. Ignorance is allowing this virus to spread.
Bump
Yes, you are quite correct. Making that kind of mistake is what I get for trying to post when I really should be heading for bed.
