In a large windowless room in the bowels of the CIA, there is a sign that reads every day is september 12th. When I first saw those words, during a tour of the agencys operations, I felt conflicted. As a New Yorker who witnessed the 9/11 attacks, I once felt that way myself, but by the time I saw the sign, during the second term of the Obama administration, it seemed to ignore all the things that our country had gotten wrong because of that mindset. Now, as COVID-19 has transformed the way that Americans live, and threatens to claim exponentially more lives than any terrorist has, it is time to finally end the chapter of our history that began on September 11, 2001.

Enabled by the Kenyanesian Usurpation, which was enabled by both parties in direct violation of the Constitution.
There is a nuance difference between ethics and morals.
Morals: Divine inspired, permanent, infallible, a doctrine... Read about morals and the world “God” keeps appearing.
Ethics: The law of the land, the corporate policies, whatever the social standards of conduct are. Read about ethics and you see references to philosophers, the law, and corporate policy.
Public education has been teaching ethics, not morals. American government is ethical, not moral. American corporations (most of them) are ethical, not moral. Why does this matter? Ethics do not exist. Ethics are whatever you want them to be. Ethics are situational dependent, inconsistent, and not based on what you see as moral (the Bible). Once you cross the threshold and switch to ethics as your goal post of right and wrong, it really just becomes a form of mob rule, whoever can sell an idea best to the public. Right and wrong no longer exists in such a society because it’s all “relative.”
Ethics are cool, because folks accept the idea that right and wrong is situational dependent. So you can be inconsistent and still not be regarded as being wrong or being a liar! It’s just another “version of the truth.”
Just a few examples, but there are many more: the government subsidizes the meds for HIV/AIDS patients but not for cancer, heart disease or diabetes. We will count a pregnant woman that is murdered as a double homicide but she can abort this baby right up until the point of birth depending on where she is. Get what I mean? There is no doctrine at work, and people are not even upset nor see anything as being odd when you have these glaring inconsistencies. If you murder my wife, it’s just a murder, if you murder a protected class it could be a “hate crime.” If I want to marry a cousin or practice polygamy that would be frowned upon, if I immigrate from the Middle East folks look the other way. If I’m Home Depot, American Airlines, Lowes hardware, I get to stay open because I’m such an essential to life business during the COVID-19 scare, but if I’m a poor Latino hairdresser I have a government task force conduct an undercover operation and have me arrested because I’m not following social distancing rules.
You are applying moral standards in an ethical country that left you behind.

You do know a lot of your friends are facing anything from long stretches in Gitmo, to execution, don't you?

“At home, Republicans fixated on a toxic stew of issues with loose, if not specious, national-security connections: an insistence on declaring war against radical Islam, ceaseless investigations into Benghazi that spilled over into investigations of Hillary Clintons email practices, and demagoguing of refugee admissions and illegal immigration into the United States.”
aaand...he lost me here.
There’s so little reality here, that the piece would not even pass as historical fiction.
“Life in Post 9/11 America” finally replaced with “Life in Post Covid19 America”.
