It appears, even at current new case daily levels, that the US will top 100,000 deaths from the coronavirus sometime near the beginning of June. And worse, recent numbers of new cases have been increasing for the last several days. We all want to get back to business as usual, but let's be careful out there folks!

The 90 year old bedridden man with cancer, alzheimer’s and diabetes is one of those statistics because he might have had a Corona contact. I trust those numbers.

100,000 deaths equals 0.032% of US population.
Whereas 2,500,000 Americans die every year on average = 0.8% of population.
Mental Health org believe there will be 75,000 suites due to the fall out.
Yeah, that will happen when a lot more people are being tested. What it actually shows is that this virus has already spread far and wide, and that the mortality rate is orders of magnitude lower than what we were told.

Unfortunately, a very large percentage of deaths are people confined in nursing homes. Once it gets in a facility, it takes many of the residents due to poor health to start with.
What ever the true numbers are, we’re obviously making some headway as you can see from the steadily dropping daily numbers. I fail to see the wisdom in tossing away what we’ve accomplished so far by being foolish, is all I’m sayin’. I’d bet you probably use most of the runway on takeoff and seldom take off from midfield - right?
Time to move on.

Shocking chart. I have to believe the infection rates for the general population has to be really high to get the infection into nursing homes across the country.
So what other causes of death fell as Rona rose?
