Yesterday morning Joe Concha tweeted out an article by Mike Morell, a former Deputy Director of the CIA from 2010-2013. Morell said, in essence, "the only culprit in the Flynn ‘unmasking’ scandal is the Trump administration."
I've never liked Morell. I always found him slimy and less than honest. Others have as well. During the Benghazi episode Morell was thought to be "lacking candor" to coin a phrase. Here is one take:

Very specific language presumably based on intelligence we've gathered. And he kind of shrugged it off when you asked him about it. Well you can't shrug it off. Don't we deserve something better in this country than to have intelligence professionals who mislead as a matter of course. Who did it at the time, did it in their book, do it in interviews. Shouldn't we expect that our intelligence professionals tell the truth and be straight with the American people?Morell also was quicker than lightning to subsequently seize a seat on talk shows and stake out the democrat position.
It was Morell's logorrhea that pushed me over the edge with regard to our Intelligence communities.
So to repeat Steve Hayes' question-

We should, but we can't. They're all corrupt. All of them. The CIA and the FBI are horrendous. It seems to me that the more dishonest you are the higher up in the organization you go.
James Clapper is a documented liar. He said "there could be evidence" of Trump-Russia collusion despite having testified at the same time that he never saw any such evidence.
Andrew McCabe got fired because his dishonesty. He said "I think it's possible" that Trump is a Russian agent without the slightest bit of evidence.
John Brennan is a documented liar. Brennan used his position to spy on the Senate.
James Comey is a galactic liar. who admitted he "took advantage" of the early Trump White House confusion to "send a couple of guys" over to frame Michael Flynn in violation of FBI protocols. He would speculate that there could be a "pee tape" again without a shred of proof it ever existed.
These are the heads of intelligence services. They are the leaders. What the f**k is wrong with them that they can so easily lie to the country?

Not anymore! Now we have people like Wray in to clean things up and .... oh. He's actively covering stuff up and blocking attempts to reform? Huh.
Never mind, it all needs to be blown up and rebuilt as a thousand separate small agencies with limited power and lots of oversight.
Looking at that picture of Comey, I am left wondering…how much time in the morning does he spend looking in the mirror practicing that?
Having communists appointed by the communist usurper has corrupted both agencies beyond repair.
Shut them down.
They are more of a danger to us than the threats they pretend to protect us from that they are never right about.
I say let them serve their sentences as free men in a foreign country. Any friends or family can take the long plane ride. We don’t need to feed them.
It’s hard for me to imagine any sort of curtailing of the fed leo/intelligence organizations at this point that would successfully change their culture or operating procedures. It was probably too late 50+ years ago to do anything about the culture of the alphabet agencies.
What politician is ever going to actually cut budgets and personnel during the 24 news cycle era? What if there is then an attack of some sort? It’s not like they seem to foil many, even when given specific tips. But no pol wants the label of having endangered security by cutting the alphabet clans beforehand when the next actual crisis comes.

They’re bureaucrats. The FBI is way more bureau than it is investigation. The CIA is way more agency than it is intel.
Power corrupts and that much power can never be contained. It is just plain evil. J Edgar was a devil and it has continued. It attracts the wrong kind of people. People who want power over others.
