Last night it became official. The Miami Hurricane Center has declared that Isaias is now the worst named hurricane of the 2020 tropical storm season.

I seem to remember when hurricanes had easy to pronounce female names like Betsy, Donna, and Cleo. Then PC kicked in and brought us to this stage in unpronounceable hurricane names.

Same here. I went to a school that was majority white, but there were quite a few black kids too. And they all had the same names as white kids did. I sometimes wonder, when and why did we get to where black mothers decide to make up names for their children.
