More ‘tone deaf’ government employees.
Notice how ‘obedience’ is the number one priority?

This is in a reasonably conservative Clermont County next to Cincinnati...proving we gave up our public schools to Marxists.

Football is incredibly important to the subculture of the American melting pot and teamwork that emerges from such unity. Ultimately its why things as remote as carrier operations in the US Navy work so well. Its why American law enforcement is so effective. Disciplined, unselfish, and hence effective teamwork.

Its one of the primary reason we lead the world. And American enemies are only too happy to interfere with foundations of how that happens

“When did it become controversial to honor first responders?”

About when it became controversial to stand for the National Anthem.

Alejandro Villanueva was one of the first, whose alleged patriotism lasted less than 24 hours after expresssion.

Drew Brees’ 24-hour patriotism conscripted his wife to join him in apologizing to America.

Instantly making his act POLITICAL.
“my message” ruined it for him.

When did it become controversial to honor first responders?

Ans: IMO, when it became fashionable to present as a "community organizer"

From a political perspective, "reorganizing" is viewed as a soft, early step in what is hoped to be a bloodless "overthrow".

What’s football? What’s baseball? What’s professional American sports?

They are dead to me.

Having blm flags IS a political statement. The suspension is wrong. The loss of freedom of thought is almost complete. BLUE lives matter!

Why don’t you make your links clickable in the articles you post?
If you want freepers to read them at least make it easier for them

IMO, there’s two views on this...1) The two football players in question were suspended basically for insubordination or not following a directive. They asked permission and were told, no..should have been end of story. 2) However, in light of all the other type civil disobedience going on, the two football players exercised civil disobedience for a noble cause and are now suffering the consequences, which is fine...it is a good lesson in the responsibility of being a citizen. If you violate the rules, no matter how “just” the cause, there will be (should be) consequences.

I do not dispute the reasoning behind their decision as it was noble, but if we are truly a law and order society (at least those of us here on FR), then we should support the school for upholding the rules.

I don’t fault the players for their decision to run with the flags, but when you make that decision after being told no, you ought to know there will be consequences and don’t complain about them...which they aren’t. I offer the 2nd view in light of all the other “statements” players (not just at this school) are making with linking arms, kneeling, raised fists, etc. Now, of course, there is the decision of the school saying no to the request to show these flags...but I understand the school’s position of trying not to say yes to one and no to another...no backbone that way, but acceptable IF consistent...IF.

“Asking permission” is more often than not the wrong move in matters such as this.

This is conservative Southwest Ohio. The same area that had an 8,000 vehicle Pro-Trump car parade around I-275 just last Saturday. The School Superintendent has posted liberal claptrap all over his official website page for the school district. This is exploding in Greater Cincinnati right now.

The two boys are the children of a Deputy Sheriff and a Firefighter. Stupid move by an uber-liberal Superintendent.
