According to the McInerney video it was the 305th Intelligence Battalion. Not sure where this Delta Force/Special Forces stuff comes from.
a quick googling shows that the 305th is a training battalion in Arizona. They train kids straight out of basic how to do stuff like tune radios and read imagery. It's a legitimate unit, but it's a training unit. They go home to their families every night, they're not spending weeks in the field training and going on deployments mid-assignment. Some of the cadre probably have experience with SF detachments and the trainees eventually, after years of training and experience in line units, some of those trainees could be good candidates for SF detachments but as a host unit for spooky operations, no... not a chance.
If LTG McInerney is claiming this himself, he's either in on the troll or the cheese has slid all the way off his cracker. A general officer would know how military units are organized, and even if they didn't work with them directly, understand enough about special forces to know that this is obviously incorrect.
The mission of the 305th military intelligence battalion is:
“Its mission is to train Initial Entry Trainees for the MOSes of 35G (Geospatial Imagery Intelligence Analyst) and 35F (All Source Intelligence Analyst).”
They TRAIN “Initial Entry Trainees” for two DOD/Army jobs - Geospatial Imagery Intelligence Analyst (MOS 35G) and “All Source Intelligence Analyst” (MOS 35F).
The battalion itself last preformed noted combat action in WWII.
This lends some doubt to McInerney’s claim of knowledge of who was involved. It would not have been a training battalion.
And he never specified how many were killed. Not sure where this five stuff comes from.
The “reporting” on this widely-shared interview is atrocious.
The 305th is the unit that runs AIT for MI recruits at Fort Huachuca. You would think someone like McInerny could come up with more convincing BS than that. I’m starting to wonder if is playing a prank or trying to win a bet or something.
I was intrigued when reading Sidney Powell’s Georgia lawsuit until I saw that she referenced the 305th as her source.
I don’t know who is feeding them this bullshit or if they are coming up with it themselves, but a lot of Trump’s supporters are being played, and I am not sure to what end. There is a reason Powell doesn’t represent Trump or his campaign.

305th Intelligence Battalion is doing the analysis and gathering evidence from the servers and more. AFAIK, they were not involved with procurement of servers.
