Those STATES should not be considered the enemy.

An oldie but goody:

Matthew 18:8-9

If your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.

The litany of secession:

If a state or states causes socialism, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for a Free Republic to go on maimed or crippled than to have all its states and together be thrown into the eternal fire of collectivism. And if the Federal Government causes you to sin; secede from it, peacefully hopefully but secede just the same.. It is better to govern as a sovereign state, smaller and diminished in power than to be thrown into the fire of centralized Federal usurpation

Never mind about cva - he never misses an opportunity to trash the United States or call for its demise.

This all ties in with my piece from the past weekend titled “How Does America Recover From This? It Doesn’t.”

More defeatist crap. The SCOTUS hasn’t even ruled yet and you’re already off to Planet of the Apes. Pathetic.

Great post.

“Past generations of Americans had plenty in common, the most obvious among those things being that we were all Americans and all but a tiny few felt an undying loyalty to this country. That love of country – taught in our schools, in our churches and promoted by the entertainment and news media industries – bound us together. We were Americans and damn proud of it.”

This is just a lie! Past generations HAVE NOT had plenty in common!! They were split in 1776 and again in 1861 (and the period leading up to those years). This time is no different and for the most part, it involves the same group of people.

There are some very good books written by mainstream authors who explain it all.

Secession talk is clearly not new. It has been around for a while from many corners and states (even recently).

Of course, there was more than talk in 1861! We may be there again now.

War and bloodshed maybe. But who’s to say whether it is “needless”.

The current conflict is clearly between rural America, which loves freedom, vs. urban America, which wants collectivism.

Why should rural Americans submit to urban Americans - just because of the way state lines were drawn hundreds of years ago?

Your post makes no sense. FYI State secession is being discussed.

It is the states that are the political entities that entered into the pact known as the USA. Complicating things like you suggest would lead to needless war and bloodshed.

There are huge red swaths even in blue states. They should join any adjoining red state. There are blue cities, not blue states.

90% of the area - not 90% of the voting population.

I would love it if New Jersey would take Philadelphia off our hands.

Just the other day my local news/propaganda station gleefully reported that America was now a country where over fifty percent of the population were “people of color”!

So I asked myself what are the countries like that are close to 100% poc? Most all are third world status, and truthfully not anyplace I’d ever want to reside.

I love the idea of secession because I know it’s the only way a more culturally enhanced society will survive. Like most though, getting there will be difficult.

Repeating it doesn’t make it true.

I disagree. Culturally we used to have a great deal in common.

There was patriotism, a shared ethical outlook, religion was held in high esteem. That changed in the 1960s when the radical communists infiltrated the demoncrat party.

As we've moved into a post-Christian US we're seeing the fractures that causes.

We cannot be friends with the world as the world will not be friends with us.

The people have a God-given natural duty and perfect right to overthrow (with force or secession) any tyranny and replace it with natural rights.

Secession doesn’t necessarily have to lead to civil war. It is obvious Red America and Blue America are sick of each other. Better for each to peacefully go its own way than the continued infighting among citizens of a supposedly united nation.

Why give up the whole state?

Cut off the areas that don't love the USA. Let the Leftys have their utopian strongholds, their own Constitution, their own set of laws. Require travel visas for their citizens to get out. They can call themselves the Delusional Disconnected States of Amerika.
Let them show us how great their ways are.

The rest of us can flourish.
